Is it leaking from the door or from underneath it. If it leaks from the door then you need a new seal. If it is leaking from underneath it could be the waterline coming into the dishwasher or the drain hose. Both fittings are underneath the dishwasher and are accessible through the lower panel on the face. Let me know if you can figure out where the leak is coming from and I will help you solve the problem.

Thx

LG Dishwasher LDS5811bb. Water is leaking out

The dishwasher may not be levle side to side and front to back.
Se the installation instructions or go www.lgusa.com
they may have the instructions on line.

This will cause leakage at the door.

If the leak is @ the bottom left it may be from the drying vent assembly.
The vent would need to be replaced with an updated vent assy.

Is a LG 6810 dishwasher that is 3 yrs. old a good 2nd hand buy?

Hi,

The Brand New Machine would cost you around $700. So, you need to take a Dishwasher is around 7 - 10 Years. So, you are left with 4 - 7 Years to Use this. Every year there is a decrease in the Value as well.

LG Dishwashers are usually Cheap and Reliable. But, when i Read the reviews for this Model ( Remember, it's only the reviews i read in different forums and review sites ), the value of money for this Model is Negative.

Check one of the Best Sites for Reviews :-

http://www1.epinions.com/reviews/LG_LDF6810_Dishwasher

There are many other. Google and check it. It's a Different case, if you are getting that Dishwasher around $150 - $200. Then, it's worth :).

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

The LG 6810 will not drain.

There should be a plug in the inside bottom of the dishwasher, try removing it and checking the drain to make sure it's not clogged.

LG will not service the LG 6810 dishwasher

When I have problems with a manufacter customer support line, I firmly but politely contact the agent, explan my problem and request quick resoution. The moment they say they are powerless to act, I imediatly request to be "escalated" to his manager. As soon as I get connected, I reqest dial in contact info directly to the escalation group. If he/she is unhelpful, I firmly and politely request to be escalated to the next higher manager.
In this case, it may be important to work through Home Depot customer service, trying as quickly as posible to get to the group that manages the LG relationship. Home Depot appears to be the organization that supplied the product that is unlabeled. These products are sometime called "Gray market" products.
Anyway, I have a similar LG product that is less than 1 year old. It was working great but all of a sudden it started to not clean well. I found undesolved, moist powder in the dispenser.
What I figured out was that I had switched DW detergent to a generic powder and the poor cleaning problems slowly showed up.
I had these white streaks runnind down from the dispenser on the stainless steel liner, too.
As soon as I switched back to a brand name powder (Electolux or Cascade) and did a white vinegar cleaning by filling a bowl full of white vinegar and placing it on the rack and running a quick cycle without adding detergent, my quiet and cool dishwasher came back!
I learned that these new, water conserving, energy effiecent models need an effective detergent that easily desolves and has minimal 'minerals' included in the powder. I also learned that you should always use a powder, never a gel or tablet.
Try my advice for a week or two. If problems persist, the next most common clearning problem is the heating element is not coming on during the wash.
Give these things a shot and please report back here. Good Luck!

Waterleak

Water pump needs to be replaced. water is most likely cumming from seal behind water pump drive pulley. also check hoses and thermostat housing gasket if water pump does not seem to be the source

Ie problem on lg dishwasher

The IE is telling you it is not getting enough water. Could be your water pressure is low. Check to make sure the there is not a build up of grime, or calcium deposits in the water hose, and at the valve.
The other thing is if your unit is an older one, prior to mar 07, you may have broken wires in the door. Remove the door panel and look for any wires that are stuck in the insulation. The sensor wires are thin and gray in colour. Splice the wires and put some of the white insulation in between the wires and the door so it cannot happen again.
Broken wires can be hard to find if the break is not all the way through.
