LG will not service the LG 6810 dishwasher
When I have problems with a manufacter customer support line, I firmly but politely contact the agent, explan my problem and request quick resoution. The moment they say they are powerless to act, I imediatly request to be "escalated" to his manager. As soon as I get connected, I reqest dial in contact info directly to the escalation group. If he/she is unhelpful, I firmly and politely request to be escalated to the next higher manager.
In this case, it may be important to work through Home Depot customer service, trying as quickly as posible to get to the group that manages the LG relationship. Home Depot appears to be the organization that supplied the product that is unlabeled. These products are sometime called "Gray market" products.
Anyway, I have a similar LG product that is less than 1 year old. It was working great but all of a sudden it started to not clean well. I found undesolved, moist powder in the dispenser.
What I figured out was that I had switched DW detergent to a generic powder and the poor cleaning problems slowly showed up.
I had these white streaks runnind down from the dispenser on the stainless steel liner, too.
As soon as I switched back to a brand name powder (Electolux or Cascade) and did a white vinegar cleaning by filling a bowl full of white vinegar and placing it on the rack and running a quick cycle without adding detergent, my quiet and cool dishwasher came back!
I learned that these new, water conserving, energy effiecent models need an effective detergent that easily desolves and has minimal 'minerals' included in the powder. I also learned that you should always use a powder, never a gel or tablet.
Try my advice for a week or two. If problems persist, the next most common clearning problem is the heating element is not coming on during the wash.
Give these things a shot and please report back here. Good Luck!
