My Consew 226R needs to warm up before it will sew. the time gets longer and longer . I have to whip the wheel many times before it will go on it's own

remove the front cover around the needle area also you may have to just strip the machine down!! to the hard ware with the bobbin door removed rotate by hand the crank till the neddle goes down to the bobbin area and losen the screws on the bell part of the crank and adjust it till
the needle is dead center and all the way into the bobbin then tighten and reassemble
