Hello!
Swithing off and on do not solve your problem.
Make sure that you do not have any sort of paper in the ADF.
If you are sure that you do not have any paper, you probably have a faulty paper sensor.
Not the best help i know...
Im not going to explain in fine detail .It sounds like you do know what is going on.But if you open the 2 side covers and the top door on the ADF wou wil be able to remove the the white plate under the white plate is a nother sensor. If you did that then replace that sensor it can be faulty.
is there any sensors on the adf unit, if so is the paper being feed into the adf unit, there might be a bad/defective sensor, try placing a letter size sheet on the document glass and make a copy, if it copies you have a problem with the adf, and it needs to be serviced
Hello sir; Make sure there have no paper chips in the paper path, then turn power off and back on, if still have problem, then check the paper sensor is moving freely.
tape is on the underside of the ADF causing a sensor to not tell the machine that the ADF is in the lowered position. look under where the hinge area goodluck
Check the little black piece of plastic that senses the printed page exiting the machine. Our sensor was stuck and I was getting the same message (an similar Ricoh product). When I gently reset the black piece to center, moving freely, printing worked again. I think the sensor got jammed up when we were trying to remove a bad paper misfeed.
Ricoh manuals very confusing on this error message. They refer to standard tray, tray one, etc. without being clear whether it's a paper feed tray or the so-called "standard OUTPUT tray." The output is not really a tray, it's just the depression where your sheet lands after printing. I wrenched on the paper feed trays and their settings for an hour before I figured out they meant OUTPUT.
There is not a reset for jams in service mode. Did you open and close all the doors and make sure they are closed all the way. Most likely you still have a small piece of paper left some where in the paper path or you may have a broken sensor flag.
