Have a smart tv and when i press netflix this comes up
Make sure that you have the correct password in for your smart TVs Wi-Fi or connect in ethernet wire to the router. They may have to refresh the router check another computer or your phone to see if the Wi-Fi is working

The TV can't read the format that the data is in, it is a kind of code, your tv can decipher it.
If there is no sound comes with on-air programs, and there is only picture, check the settings. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset; and the other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). If your TV does not have Netflix pre-installed you can (only on some TV's) install the app from the internet. If you cannot install Netflix on the TV then you can use something like the Amazon Fire Stick plugged into one of the HDMI ports to watch internet based content such as Netflix.
