FIRST, if this code comes back. Have a technician look at it the exposure lamp the bright light under the glass is bad or the board controlling it.
1. Turn OFF the main power switch.
2. Turn main power switch ON while pressing the Utility/Counter key.
3. Touch [Trouble Reset].
4. Check to make sure that [OK] is displayed and the it has been reset.
5. After turning off the main power switch, turn it on again more than 10 seconds after and check if the machine starts correctly.

Description

Tray 1 feeder up/down abnormality
The tray 1 upper limit sensor (PS22) is not blocked even after the lapse of a given period of time after the lifting motion has been started.

Remedy

1 Check the connector between M12-PRCB CN25 for proper connection and correct as necessary. 2 Check the connector of M12 for proper drive coupling and correct as necessary. 3 Check the connector between PS25-relay CN30- PRCB CN26 for proper connection and correct as necessary. 4 PS25 I/O check, sensor check PRCB CN26-3 (ON). 5 M12 operation check PRCB CN25-5 (REM). 6 Replace M12. 7 PRCB ICP5 conduction check. 8 Replace PRCB.

Turn main power off. wait 10 seconds, power on, go back in same procedure this time set to set. Power off again wait 10 seconds power on. Solution

CAUSE: Actuator (Lever) for the upper limit sensor is hit very hard by the paper tray when opening/closing the drawer, and the Lever breaks.Upper limit
sensor (PS12/PS22) is either not activatedby the actuator(generating the error codes) oris always actuated(generating the out of paper message).
<Parts Guide Manual: Page 13, 16>
SOLUTION: Replace the current Lever (p/n A1UD 5611 00) with the modified one (p/n A1UD 5611 01).

First open the tray 1 is there any paper behind it?
Then go service mode

Utiltly/counter, check details, stop00 stop01, system 1, problem unit isolation, select tray one, then select "SET" then select desicion then power off the machine main power sw not control panel. WAIT 10 seconds then power on and do what you just did all over again this time select UNSET if you still cant get the tray you will need a tech.
