the user name and password have to match the pc. if the pc does not have administrative rights the scan will be rejected most network security software will cause a scan to be rejected also

Check and make sure there are no jams by the fuser ie: bits of paper in the paper path.

You should be able to. It sounds like you've got a paper jam in the document feeder. Chances are there was a jam and part of the document (a small peice perhaps) is still lodged in the document feeder unit.

Try to replace the 'paper is present' sensor with the 'cover open' one to see if now it is detecting the paper. Also, check the actuator that enter in that sensor.

What is the gsm?

What did the Technician say about the jamming?

Use the "Separate Scan" button on the panel. By pushing this you are telling the scanner that you have separate scans to scan as one document. Once all files are scanned, push the separate scan button again to indicate you are finished scanning.
