Kenmore Elite Model 790.99129409. Receiving error code F-13 when Broil mode is selected. While this code is showing, no other oven selections (Bake) are available. When power is shut down and restored, I can obtain Bake, Convection & Pre Heat cycles as long as I do not select the Broil mode first.
SOURCE: GE Wall Oven - No heat (broil or bake)
On appliances like this only the heating elements use 220 volts. things like the clock, fan, etc use 110 volts. That is why some things work and other do not. Start at the breaker, sometimes a double pole breaker will have 1 side tripped, but will look perfectly fine. switch the breaker all the way to off then re-set. If nothing changes follow the power to the appliance remove the panel and look for some fuses, check to see if any are blown. Also sometimes the microwave will have a separate power source even though its built in to the same appliance. So that's not always a good symptom to follow.
SOURCE: Electric convection oven keeps on producing heat
Probably a burnt out element shorting out to the frame. When the oven is on does the element glow evenly the entire length. Are there visible holes or pieces missing? The contactor could also be sticking.
SOURCE: Oven will not heat up on bake broil or convection cook.
I justn encountered the same problem (Model KERS507Y). Haven't checked yet...but am suspecting the Thermal fuse. Have you solved the problem?

Hi If the error code still appears, then the problem is likely in the control module (circuit board) behind the keypad and clock. You'll need to remove the bezel to get behind the control panel. Remove the screws & lift the panel up about a half inch and pivot it forward toward you. The circuit board you can now see is the Control module. Check for the black square shaped components on this board, they may be burnt or the connection might be loose. Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC). Daniel
Hope this helps... If it does please do not forget to accept the solution or post back for assistance.
