SOURCE: Goodman model gmt090-3a vent pressure switch code.

the pressure switch tube is clogged. you can find by looking at the inducer motor which is the small motor towards the top of the furnace ,there will be a rubber hose coming off it going to a round disc with two wires attached to it. remove the hose from the disc and blow thru, if you cant remove the hose from the motor and insert a small paper clip into the barb fitting the hose was connected to until its clear and reconnect the hose . recycle power. you should be good to go.

Testimonial: "Thank you! Very helpfull. It's starting to get cold at night."

SOURCE: Need to find the pressure switch on my goodman furnace

It's mounted onto the gas valve. It will be a button or lever that you have to push in or down, depending on the style.

SOURCE: Model #GMPN100-4 Goodman furnace. Vent fan

The sequence of events for furnace operation is -

Fan purge for 30-45 seconds. During this time, a pressure switch is actuated by the running of the purge fan, proving the control board the purge fan is running.

After purge and purge prove, the hot surface ignition and or spark begins. After a few second delay, the gas valve will open. The control board then monitors for flame prove through another sensor located near the burners. If there is no flame within 3-5 seconds, the gas valve closes. It will repeat this process, usually 3 times, before it shuts the system down, which requires a power down of the system to reset.

I have seen trash get into the hose between the purge blower and the purge switch. But you could be having other problems.

Goodman gas heater model GUE080-4 . pilot lighs , but furnace will not . Electronic pilot lights & stays on for about 1 min, than shuts off seems main gas relay not switching on.need manual

Check roll out switches located around burner compartment.
there is a small square button between the wire terminals press firmly down on it to rest switches. If this solves the problem have the furnace cleaned and checked by a professional HVAC technician.

New goodman 80% gas furnace leaking condesation down exhaust vent

it could be condensation. or poor seal at roof. probably the seal at roof. also check the larger copper line is it sealed good? if any spot is not this will cause leaking when in cooling mode. maybe dripping from line onto vent.

Where is the filter on my Goodman model capf3636c6ba ?

The main places that filters are located are:

Return Air Vent or Vents
Inside Coil Box
Underneath Furnace (Will have a small access door)
Filter Box Attached to Return Air System

A lot of people still look for their filters inside the coil box, but more recently installed units will have them in the return grills inside the house. Follow your return air from the vent inside the house back to the unit and it will be somewhere in between there. Hope this helps!

Goodman furnace wont come on

If this is a High Eff furnace:
1) Remove the compartment that has the igniter and burners, turn the
power back on, if the furnace lites then you have a problem with the
intake air vent, probably iced over if you live where its cold.

2)Make sure the exhaust vent is not getting backpressure from the
wind.

3) you could cut the pipes on the inside of the house to disconnect them from the furnace, test run the furnace with no pipes. If the furnace
runs then you have a problem with the installation of the vent pipes.

4) Do not run the furnace without the exhaust pipe disconnected,
go to the hardware store and get a couple of rubber clamped
couplings and hook-up the exhaust pipe!

Good Luck

Heat not coming on carrier gas pack code 31

code 31 indicates pressure switch did not close or reopened during the heat cycle....1st thing to check is the inducer motor,,this is a small motor that turns a small blower wheel that draws the exhaust gases through the furnace and blows them into the vent pipe....1st locate the inducer assembly,,most easily identified by the small plastic fan blade that cools the inducer motor as it runs..1st turn off tstat and turn off furnace power switch..then turn on furnace switch, then set tstat to heat, set the temp above room temp by 5 degrees...remove the furnace front cover, locate the inducer motor,,if it isnt turning, but is warm or hot after a minute or so,likely the inducer motor is bad..if it isnt turning and isnt warm after 1 minute, then likely the main control board is bad,,not turning the inducer motor when it should,,,,,if the inducer motor is running,,then the pressure switch isnt closing,, could be a bad pressure switch but more likely there is a problem with the venting...some possible problems that would cause the pressure switch not to close in an 80% eff furnace [metal vent pipe] are: [1] a blockage in the vent pipe, base of chimney, dead bird at the furnace where vent connects to furnace or down inside the inducer assy, accessed by removing vent pipe from furnace....if all clear the chimney could be blocked up inside,,is the draft good when vent is removed from base of chimney?..if furnace is a 90%+ type [pvc plastic vent pipe],,then check the intake pipe at the furnace by removing it where it attaches to top of furnace..is the intake clogged with anything?..then check the intake and exhaust pipes outside for blockages,,including ice/frost/snow at the exhaust pipe outlet..
