Watts are identical for 110 and 220. So if it says 45 then get a 50 watt step-down transformer.

Yes, you will need to get a transformer..try an electrical wholesaler and ask for a current converter.

SOURCE: Kitchen aid mixer, voltage issue

Why not just buy a power converter for the mixer and other electronics on Amazon. They are cheap and can be adjusted for
110 - 240 and can be used anywhere in the world.

SOURCE: transformer 110-220

Less expensive to replace the heating element. But if you already have a 1000 watt transformer then just go that route

I have bose wave with input voltage 110 volts but i want to change it 220 volts where i can buy a transformer

Check the back or the bottom of the Wave unit for the input voltage rating. If it has a universal power supply, it will show something like "Input voltage 97-243 VAC 50-60 Hz," i. e., the input voltage rating spans the full range from 110 VAC US to 240VAC Europe. In that case, all you have to do is get a power cord suitable for the power in your area.

I checked the specification in the on-line owner's manual, but it wasn't helpful; it said the input power rating is "220V-240V
50/60Hz 60W max" We know it works on 120 V, so the 220V in manual may be a typographical error. Go with the information on the unit case. If it says "120 V 60Hz" and nothing about 240 V, then you would need a transformer rated for at least 70 Volt-Amps (60 Watts plus a reserve factor so you don't have to worry about overloading it).

I tried checking my favorite site for electronic products such as travel transformers and adapters (MCM Electronics), but as of this time they were having server problems. Note: they may have the 240 V version of the power cord, or you can check whether Bose sells it separately.

I have a electric dryer Model WED5810SW0 THAT I WAS TOLD I COULD CONVERT TO 120V from 240v is this true and if so how do i do this?

If you consider doing this the first thing is SHUT THE MAIN BREAKER OFF. Use an auxiliary light source to see when working in a dead panel. Always keep in mind an ARC FLASH ACROSS HOT MAINS HAS ENOUGH HEAT TO PEAL THE SKIN OFF OF YOU. Before an explanation of how to do it you should keep in mind that this is for a single receptacle only. If any other receptacles are on the same circuit they will also be changed to 240 volt receptacles and if you plug any 120 volt device into them, the 120 volt device will be destroyed. That said OK, any 120 volt outlet can be changed to 240 volt by removing the 120 volt circuits neutral, re identifying the white wire with red or black phase tape and connecting it to a new 2 pole 15 amp breaker. The maximum that this circuit will now load up to is, on #14 wire at 80% = 12 amps at 240 volts. The 120V receptacle must be changed to a 15A - 240V receptacle so that 120 volt devices can not be plugged into it. Never use 2 single pole breakers together because code requires that on a fault trip both legs of the 240V circuit must be disconnected simultaneously. Our 2-way converters are voltage transformers that convert power from both 220 to 110 volts and 110 to 220 volts. They also work with 100 volts, 110 volts, 120 volts, 220 volts and 240 volts. My country use the 220 volts system do have to use a step down transformer of plug it in direct.it has been a year i have not used the appliance having no information on wattage

If your microwave is wired for 220 volts AC and your country standard house current is 220, and the plug is of the proper configuration, plug it in.

Standard microwave size is around 1100 watts at 110 volts Normally, two times the voltage is 1/2 the wattage. Ohms law, Voltares Law and Watts Law apply.

If your microwave is 1100 watts at 110 volts --- yes you will need a step- down transformer of some type.

I have a Phillips TV made in Europe, Model 26pf4310/10, It is 220volt, 50Mhz. Can I use a transformer to step up the USA voltage (220) and Mhz to (60)? 2. Is there a card made to convert this TV to USA...

yes you can use a transformer to convert 120 to 220 volt .it must be rated for 110 watts load or more . the 50 hz vs 60 hz (not Mhz) is ok .. if it works on 50 hz then it will work on 60 as well for most things ...here is an excerpt from the service manual on power:

Mains connection
Before connecting the TV to the mains, check that the mains supply voltage corresponds to the voltage
printed on the type plate on the rear panel of the TV. If the mains voltage is different, consult your dealer.

there may be a jumper or switch that allows different voltage operation .. if not the transformer will work ..

... the problem is that it will tune only PAL and SECAM ... the tuner wont tune NTSC or our high def channels .... it will siill work however if you use an external hi def or cable tuner that has direct outpuuts like svideo or composit video or DVI .. (cant use RF) ... it will accept ntsc from dvd players and VCRs .. even a computer can be hooked up ....its resolution is 1280 X 768 so not full hi def but pretty good ... so you cant use the antenna input but everythig else will work ...

here you can find a user manual in PDF form if you need one ....yikes its kinda long URL but good info....

Just installed new steam shower, it produces steam for about 5 minutes and then blows the fuse

Based from your comments, a new steam shower that blows the fuse in five minutes. You could have installed a new steam shower that is much bigger than what you previously have.
1. For a 5000 watts steam shower at 220 volts
power must have a fuse rating of 40 amps, supply
wires of at least No. 6 AWG Type THW ; and at
110 volts a fuse rating of 80Amps, supply wires
of at least No. 2 AWG type THW.
2. For a 4000 watts at 220 volts, Fuse: 30 amps,
Supply wire: No. 10 AWG type THW. At 110volts
60 amps, Supply wires : No. 4 AWG Type THW
3. For a 3000 watts at 220 volts, Fuse: 20 amps
Supply wire: No. 10 AWG type THW; At 110volts
Fuse: 40 amps, Supply wire: No. 6 AWG THW
4. For a 2000 watts at 220 volts, Fuse: 15 amps
Supply wire: No. 10 AWG THW and at 110 volts
Fuse: 30 amps, Supply wire: No, 8 AWG THW

Uae customer

even if there is power difference, all you have to do is buy a transformer that would convert 110 volts to 220 volts or vice versa. another issue that to be consider is frequency.

if the unit is designed to run at 60 Hz, then it would be slower when plugged to a 50 Hz supply. and the reverse, it would be faster if it is designed to 50 Hz and plugged to a 60 Hz supply.

Convert 110 volts to 220 volts

Hi, 1. To convert 110 to 220 - use a step down transformer between your mains and your unit with the watt rating equal to or greater than required by your unit; 2. If I got your brand/model right, I believe it is capable of either 50 or 60 Hz. However, if for some reason you still would want to convert convert 60 Hz to 50 Hz, it will be difficult and technically complicated. At best that I can offer is for you to get hold of an AC-DC-AC converter with the following specs input 220VAC/50Hz output 110/60Hz. 3. NTSC to Pal N would require complicated circuitry and if ever available would be expensive. Past experiences have shown me that any color conversion is not that satisfactory. It may be to your advantage to return the unit and have it replaced with a region correct model. Good luck and kind regards.
