Trimble s6 total station will not power on - Measuring Tools & Sensors

Question edited for a lot more clarity, 'make model (what it is), fix typos, capitalize CDU and DCU (not sure which is right, the manual mentions neither).

Did you change the internal battery? It sounds like you erased the operating software

Note that the battery change must be made within 2 hours; otherwise the above parameters and functions will be reset.

Contact your local distributor. If these machines are leased like the Leica Total Station, they phone home if you miss a payment or start fiddling with internals and they PUK Lock it on you.

These items are leased and Leica has total control over it. It sounds like they have shut it down and won't power it back on until you talk to them.

The LR21 has an optional battery that clips on the back. There is no internal power source.

I have the same problem with my Trimble Juno SB. It just happened today. But when I plug mine in to a power source the LED is green. But when I hit the power button it flashes red one time. I have tried soft and hard resetting it. And I even tried the 'restore factory settings' reset. Nothing works, It just stays off. The screen never comes on.

Did no one else read the question? It isn't for a laptop. It is for a Trimble Juno SB.

I use a small 12volt battery from a ride on lawn mower that has 21 amp hour rating. Best go to Trimble for the correct lead acid splitter cable. It lasts 4 days easy with constant use. Hope this helps. Nigel Crane.
