The spring below the staple guide came out when I was trying to unjam the stapler. I reinserted the spring under the guide but it will only staple once. I need to adjust the spring or put it back into the right position. Can you help?

The optical sensor that detect the presence of the paper is malfunctioning - you will have to take the unit apart and see what is wrong with it. Most likely the sensor is dirty and it needs to be cleaned.
