Creative Zen Vision: M won't read some .avi files

I've got a Creative Zen Vision: M 30GB, and after I have converted an MKV file to AVI, it won't read and play that file after it was converted. It also won't play some .avi files, but will play most others.

In this case, you can download an AVI player on your PC to open the avi file, and you could try Leawo Blu-ray Player, which could support a lot of formats including AVI and it's a region-free and 4K player. Or you can get a video converter to convert the video format.

Avi is a container format, they are always different from codecs. obviously, the codec of your avi files can be supported by zen.

My zen mozaic won't support any video files i put on it. what files does it take?

well, creative zen likes avi, mpg and wmv formats

the reason that your creative zen won't read the avi is because the necessary codec is missed.

you can use iorgsoft creative zen video converter to convert the video to mp4,wmv then put them to creative zen.

if you want to put DVD onto creative Zen, fine, you can use iOrgsoft DVD to Creative Zen converter to remove the DRM(Digital Right Management) and regional restriaction from DVD, and you can also use it to convert DVD to avi, wmv or mpg for playback on creative zen.

Can't convert mp4 files through Creative Zen video converter

Creative Zen has its own video format, so you need a thrid party video converter to convert videos to the format fit for your player.
Here I recommend you try Wondershare Video Converter Platinum, which could convert between all popular Video formats ( AVI, MKV, MP4, WMV, FLV, MPEG etc.) that support all popular portable media players (such as Creative Zen, Zune/Zune HD, iPod/iPhone and PSP) and the latest iPod Nano 5G, iPod Touch 3, iPhone 3GS/OS 3.1.

Unable to add avi files to to media library

hey,

you won't be able to sync the avi file because your type of avi is not supported in the Zen

if you have the creative software on your computer well go
into the menu and select creative, because I don't have it in front of me I can't tell you where this is though all you have to do is search through and look to find "video converter" it's as easy as that.
all you do is when you find this is browse for you file and say what format you want to format to and start formating. they will ask if you want to sync you finished file to your zen.
