possibly bad batteries in the transmitter. could also be a blocked IR receiver at the TV(do you have something in front of the IR receiver in the TV?) last resort could be either IR receiver PCB or the MAIN PCB.
First check the connections at your IR-receiver pcb. I was not able to ascertain a part# for this pcb, as the unit is over 10years old. There is,however, a part# printed on that pcb & you may be able to google that & locate the IR-pcb (that is your infra-red receiver printed circuit board)
try unplugging the connector on the IR pcb & plug back in both on the IR pcb (connector AN) & on the signal PCB(connector RF). you could have faulty wiring on either pcb or on the connect contacts.
Remove batteries and replace with new batteries and restart. If still problem, unplug DC wire to indoor display sensor and plug it after a minute. Now try with your remote. If still problem, try with another remote. If no result, PCB receiving sensor defective. Replace display sensor or PCB
Transmission problem between remote and PCB sensor. Please replace batteries in your remote and try. If not try with another same type remote. If still problem persists, problem with receiving sensor in PCB. Repair or replace it.
Before calling a repairman, check your self by a volt meter.Confirm power is there in your indoor unit.If there green or red light in the unit displayed or not. If yes, try with your remote. If not check your PCB for fuse blown. Replace the fuse and check again. Indoor unit display light and no work by your remote means communication error between your remote and unit. Try with other remote. If o.k. replace your remote. If not, problem with PCB receiving sensor. Repair it. Thanks and hope it's helpful?
yes you have a bad ir receiver.replace the main digital pcb.the way to check it requires a
o-scope but the ir reciver is not sold seperate from the main pcb.the only way to repair is replace the board.shopjimmy.com has the board for less than 100.00.
First turn off all the power inside and out then back on and change your batteries in the remote. And look on the remote for an extra switch that may have been moved during the outage and you don't ordinarily see it. If neither of these solutions work its most likely a service call. to tell you more.
