Open tray 1 and pull any visible jammed media out of the all-in-one.
If no media is visible, open the print-cartridge door, remove the print cartridge, and rotate the
upper media guide. Carefully pull the media up and out of the all-in-one.
Close tray 1.

The paper is probably jammed between the fuser and the rear cover if you can't see it.

You need to replace either the pickup roller or the separation pad (or, optimally, both at the same time) - both should be removable without tools, they just snap in. You can order new parts at http://partsurfer.hp.com - shouldn't be more than $20 worth of parts. You can help reduce the problem slightly by roughing up the rubber on the pickup roller and the cork on the separation pad by scuffing both with a light grade of sandpaper, just to give it some tooth. But replacing them is best, it'll fix it!

Hello there
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.
Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.
That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.
So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.
