I have panasonic fax kx-kpg391. What does "serial error" mean?

The KX-MB781 is a network printer/scanner/fax. After connecting my printer to the netwrok, I used the installation disk which came with my printer and ran it on two Windows XP systems, and on one Vista Business system. The installation software detected the printer, and installed the multifunction software without any problems at all. It couldn't have been any easier. Get the latest version of the installation disk, and you should be up and running quickly.

You need to follow the instructions that came with the drum as you need to reset the internal counter.

Your error 43 refers to the fact that the fax you are calling does not answer. Talk to them and ask if their fax is set to "Auto Receive". its probably not.

Hi Kenneth, honestly I know nothing about faxes, I checked Panasonic site and that error means the unit is not heating up properly, they suggest to check the power cable. You can connect and check the site: shop.panasonic.com/support, select: get support, enter model #, then enter your inquiry, or click: operating manual (or instructions). hope this will help.

COMMUNICATION ERROR (Code: 43, 44) means that "A line problem occurred". There might be a problem with the phone jack where your fax machine is connected to. Try to connect the telephone line cord to a different jack and try again.
