How do I access the battery on my GE 28115FE1 Ultra Slim DECT 6.0 Phone to disconnect it for storage or replacement?

My phone is making a lot of noise and static on in coming call so bad I can't talk. out going I can't make. I put in the number to dial call does not go through ,but I can hear the dial tone. do I need a new battery or is there something wrong with the phone itself.

the minute, hour and day buttons are located on the side of the base. hold button down till the correct minute is spoken, then the hour, then the day. if you miss, start over again...

Have you tried to adjust the contrast on your display? If that doesn't help chances are its your battery.
how to change battery:
Remove the battery compartment door, the bottom half of the back, should slide down.
Disconnect the cord attached to the battery pack and remove the battery pack from the handset.
Insert the new battery pack and connect the cord to the jack inside the battery compartment.
Put the battery compartment door back on.

I finally find a way to stop this problem from occuring : never leave your phone on the charger with the battery isnt empty !

I know this sucks because what best place to put your phone at night than its base. But try it and it will work (unless your battery is already damaged). In the morning when i go to work, I charge it for 8 hours, then when I come back, I take it off the charge until next morning.
