The TV can (most smart TVs) have a reset networking feature

Wifi is problematic for sure 801 b or g and n (geT "AC" if TV allows this) The best TVs are set up for. 801.11-/ac" features.

Wifi can run slow, or 1/2 speed if one other errant device in home causes N bonding drop out, making TV show buffering delays.

Hi Vic, I do not wich one option of the internet you are connected, but is a good idea to try the ethernet connection by cable and make sure is on plugging both sides, so need to go to the setting on the tv.
The procedure is the same. Setting/ Network/ LAN.

most likely . go into smart tv settings look for application setting
go into this and remove youtube application.
However a smart child could use internet browser and www.youtube.com

i am trying to figure out what you are asking, you asking how to record a program on your smart tv, but i sony dvd & blu-ray play.
the sony dvd & blu-ray player can only play recorder material.
the smart tv assume has streaming video rite, you would need a program like dish, cox, other types of providers, dvr, this device needs program, that can store the movies or shows, hard drive or storage device, i guess i need more information, if you are wounder how to get inter net you would need a provider and than you have streaming video, recording device that can store the information you want to watch later we call a DVR. in order to get to the setting for on line or internet you have to go into setting and look for internet options or under streaming, online configuration,

Start Internet connection and do Manual Internet Setting .
Type your Passwaord when asked.
Save all setting and start Internet browser.Go to Face book web and type your Loging ID and PAsswaord.

You need to establish a connection to your router from the TV. Follow the instructions for your TV to test the connection.
