YOUR WATER MAY BE OVERFLOWING A BIT AT THE TOP, JUST UNDER THE MACHINE'S COVER.

A SENIOR LADY FRIEND HAD SIMILAR SITUATION

WE TILTED UP THE TOP ON HER AUTOMATIC WASHER AND DISCOVERED THERE WAS A LARGE BUILD UP OF LIME, LINT , OLDE SOAP AND SOFTENER .

WATER GOING INTO THESE AUTOMATIC WASHING MACHINE IS OPEN TO THE AIR AND NOT CLOSED IN.

THIS HARDENED MESS WAS INTERFERING THE WATER FLOW, CAUSING SOME WATER TO RUN DOWN ONTO THE FLOOR.

If it is leaking from the waste pump area it may be blocked by a small piece of clothing like a sock or something similar! This will also cause it to take too long to complete a cycle. Remove the rubber hose onto the waste pump and check inside the hose and the pump, make sure the pump spins freely and that nothing is stuck in the hose pipes leading to the pump

SOURCE: washing machine leaks from underneath after rinse cycle

i would 1st look to make sure the drain hose is not loose or broken. be sure it is staying in the drain pipe in the wall.it could be a cracked housing on your pump. hope this helps

It sounds like the pump or the pump inlet/outlet hose is leaking, more likely to be the pump.

thanks.

Why is my maytag 2000 washing machine leaking from underneath when it is only 2-1/2 years old

You need to establish the area that you have seen the water pooling and trace it back if possible.Make sure you disconnect the machine from the power point before you conduct these checks. Is the water clean, dirty or oil contaminated. if you can't determine exactly where the leak is coming from try placing a chux cloth around a hose with a cable tie before a wash then check it on the completion of the cycle - make sure the chux cloth does not effect the operation of the machine.

Grease blobs appear in wash, Maytag washer A211. How do I fix?

Searched for the model on the web and didn't find it. I am assuming that it is an older top load model. Front loaders I don't know about.

Is the grease appearing just in the drum or is there some on the floor underneath. Either way I would say you need to replace the transmission. If you have an old 12-15 yrs washer I would get a new one. The replacement trannys only last a couple of years at best and aren't worth the money to replace $200-300 if your machine is ready to **** out. The only places on a washer that have grease are the clothes you're washing and the transmission. The tranny will mostly leak onto the floor but can sometimes get into the drum.

My roper wash machine is leaking. is it worth

check when it's leaking during the cycle.
If the fill hose has become unhooked from the outer drum of the machine, it'll just dump water all over the floor... it'll leak out of the case of the machine, but it's an easy fix... you simply open the machine, reinstall the hose into the drum or you may have to replace the hose...washing machines will last a good long time...it's worth the trouble to fix...let me know if you need help opening it up.
This can happen if the machine is overloaded... I had a laundromat and this happened alot because people were cheeeeep and wanted to overstuff the machine thinking they'd get a better deal...not true...dirtier clothes and broken machines....

Washer leaking when filling up tub

Unlikely to be pump, sounds more like hose leaking, or drum seal.
Depending upon severity of leak, place a sheet of newspaper under front of m/c, pushing it as far back as you can. switch m/c on for a few secs, then switch off, remove paper and you should be able to judge where leak is.
Tilt m/c back and have a look underneath.
At 12 years old, if it looks major, I think I would replace m/c.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Washing machine

12 to 14 years on an Amana, (speed queen) built is about life on that machine, You need a transmission replacement. major work. You could have the machine rebuilt, which while it is being done, you would need a new belt, pump, brake pads, tub seal plus anything else that is rusted. You would be better off $$$ to replace the machine.

Let me know if you have any more questions. T
