I have taken it apart and cleanded it, no clogs, nothing stuck. it still blinks blue, 10 times before the light shuts off again. I just purchased this in September 2017. thanks Chrissy
SOURCE: Suction
Might be the hepa filter needs cleaning? This is located in the housing on the side of the cleaner at the bottom (see your manual to find it). It is a big spongy ring which Dyson say you should remove once a month and wash in warm water. Dry off and replace in cleaner when completely dry. I've found this works and the suction is like that of a new machine!

If the filters are ok, and there is no clog in the hose or dirt inlet down by the brushroll, then the motor protector is probably bad.
SOURCE: Dyson animal clogged,
if your bin opens from the bottom, you need that open to open the clip on the frount of the bin. i only discovered this by accident when i was emptying mine -i knocked it on the sde of my wheelie bin and it dropped off :-) hope this helps.

I have had this problem on two dysons and have solved it by replacing the so called lifetime pre-filter. The problem is not the washable blue sponge but the material gauze filter in the plastic surround.
To see if this is your problem try removing the whole filter (i.e. the filter with the blue sponge inside - you need to remove both bits not just the sponge).
If you do a quick vacuum test for a few minutes then see what effect this has on the suction.
If you need a new part try somewhere like here (you'll need to chose for the right model) : http://www.espares.co.uk/part/dyson/dc07/p/1086/716/6/420625/875479/lifetime-pre-motor-dyson-.html
As I say this has fixed both of mine.
