straighten out a paper clip and locate a small hole on the front of the drive, push the paperclip in the hold and the cd\dvd will come out. If might start working after this but chances are that if it does you will need a new one in teh near future.

You need to take the unit apart. If you pull hard to open the door, you`ll break the plastic connector that moves the head up and down.

That particular unit is very sensitive to scratched or dirty disks. Remove the disk and make sure there are no finger prints, peanut butter & jelly, or popcorn butter stains on the back side. If there is, gently wash the disk under warm water with a DROP of mild dish detergent, being careful not to scratch the surface. Rinse the disk well and dry with a soft, lint free cloth (like an old cotton t-shirt) again being careful to avoid scratching the disk. Replace the disk and play.

If the disk is scratched, there is little hope of fixing the scratch so the unit can read it.....

Follow these steps to program the remote control to operate a television.

1. Turn on the television to be programmed.
2. On the remote control, move the TV/DVD VIDEO switch to TV.
3. Press and hold the I/O button.
4. While holding the I/O button, enter the television manufacturer code number using the number pad. NOTE: If more than one code number is listed for the manufacturer, enter one code at a time until you find one that works.
   
5. Release the I/O button.
6. Point the remote control at the television.
7. Press the POWER button to verify operation.
