Depending on the model number - it sounds like the Drain valve on the brew unit drive is stuck. This happens over time - the valve gets gummed up and then will not open and all the water that was tagged for the brew unit gets dumped into the drip tray

SOURCE: leaks at the hot water spout during coffee brew

I had the same problem. I ended up taking the coffee machine apart and found that the reason coffee trickles out around the hot water spout is that the two coffee nozzles were partially plugged. Since I Had parts of the coffee machine apart I was able to clean it easily. It may also be possible to clean the assembly using a pick of some sort and clean out the holes of the two normal coffee spouts. Inside it is just a open cavity so gentle poking around and using some steaming hot water may do the trick.
If you want to take the machine apart you need to do the following: 1) take of the warmer plate on the top - 2 storz screws but an allen key works as well 2) take off the top plate of the machine - another 4 or 5 screws - make sure you empty the beans first otherwise you will have a mess 3) remove one screw from the right hand side of the removable coffee ground tray. Once this screw is removed the front panel is free to swing open except for the pipes connecting the front 4) unclip the steam assembly - there are a couple of plastic catches on the top. this will free the steam assembly from the front panel and also free a pipe connections. The steam dispenser pipe will also come free from the steam assembly. 5) remove the coffee pipes from the up and down sliding coffee dispenser. This is a small whitish color clip with 2 pipes connecting into it. The white clip has a little plastic catch on the top that frees it. The front panel should now swing open freely. 6) remove the sliding coffee dispenser from the front door. There are 4 plastic catches, 2 on either side. the whole front sliding coffee displenser now comes free 7) Take the sliding dispenser apart by release the 4 plastic catches on the front curved planel. 8) Inside the sliding dispenser is a white plastic piece that connected to the piping released in step 5. There is a small plastic catch that needs to be pressed while pulling fairly hard on the plastic piece and bending the whole piece. 9) You will now see the plugged spouts. It goes back together really easily.

SOURCE: how to empty drip pan

At the back of the food compartment where the water collects ,there is a drainage hole, this is blocked up,poke a long thin piece of wire or similar and poke it down the hole, this should clear the blockage,
If the water does not drain away then you need to go the rear of the frig and clear the rubber or plastic hose that you will see on the top of the motor compressor. this should solve the problem.
Plz rate this solution.
Thanks. and merry xmas.

SOURCE: Water leakage- V'spresso machine

I had the same problem. The water was coming from the front door switch inside top right. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Need to clean liquid drip from inside of door whirlpool built-in

Hi, The screws in the bottom edge of the door will need to be removed. The dor handles screws usually help hold the upper part of the door together. There might be screws on each side. Makes sure the door is laying on a flat surface and be gentle with the glass pieces. They are very fragile.
I am sending you a picture of the door pieces and how they line up inside the frame.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi, how to remove the stainless in the front to clean the nozzles ? ( Miele cm5100 coffee machine ). Thank you. There is only one screw in the bottom.

This model has a self rinsing mode that is on by default.

It is important to rinse the system daily to remove any coffee residues from the coffee system. The hot water from the rinsing process also pre-warms the pipework.
It is also important to rinse the system at the end of each day.

The pipework is rinsed automatically then the coffee system is turned off if this function is turned on, and the coffee system has prepared at least one drink since it was turned on.
The machine comes with this function turned on.

Built in Miele Coffee Maker: why do i need to empty drip tray so often when there is always a container under the dispenser?

The Drip tray is where the system rinses to when the unit powers up or down and goes through the rinse cycle - there is a drain valve on the Brew unit drive that empties into the drip tray

Cva 4070 drip tray issue

Miele CVA 4066 -Empty drip tray warning would not go off even after draining the drip tray, cleaning contacts, and resetting power. Water was coming out from under the empty tray.
I pulled unit out and removed sheet metal in rear around water inlet. when I attached water line and power cord & turned on power, I could see water dripping out of one of the 2 solonoids on the water inlet valve. $168.00 from Miele and no expensive service call.
