Go to Walmart and get Canned Air used to blow out debris from keyboards etc. Place the air tube near the fan vents and blow out debris. Keep the can up-right. Should you turn it upside-down, you will FREEZE everything, so do it correctly.

SOURCE: sunbeam ultrasonic humidifier runs but produces no mist

It sounds very much like the transducer has failed. This is likely a crystal transducer and since they produce the agitation that should cause a mist, they are running continuously; not a good thing for something that is trying to shake iteslf apart all the time. These require input from a circuit that produces the fairly high level of power needed to drive the crystal so it could also be the source of the problem.

SOURCE: I need to know how to clean the base of my humidifier.

DAILY MAINTENANCE
Allow to cool before maintenance.
1. Before cleaning, set the control to OFF (0) position and unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove the water tank then unlock the misting chamber by rotating the safety lock towards the front of the unit. Lift mist chamber from the unit's base.
3. Empty water and minerals from the base ond place in the top rack of the dishwasher. This will remove any sediment and dirt that has accumulated in the base.
NOTE: It is imperative that the base is deaned properly. The base is dishwasher safe (top rack ONLY) for easy cleaning.
4. Wipe the heating element dean with a soft doth after it has had a chance to cool.
5. Replace misting chamber and engage safety lock. The Electronic Thermal Control Heating element is lined with a coating that is designed to provide the easiest cleaning and prolong the operating efficiency of the humidifier.
DO NOT use any metal or hard objects to dean the Heating Element. Never use detergents, gasoline,
kerosene, gloss deaner, furniture polish, point thinner or other household solvents to clean any part of the humidifier.

WEEKLY MAINTENANCE
Remove Scale: Allow to cool before maintenance.
1. Repeat steps 1-5 in the Daily Maintenance section.
2. Clean the trzy by partially filling the base with one 8-oz cup of undiluted white vinegar. Let solution stand 20 minutes, cleaning all interior surfaces with a soft brush. Dampen a doth with undiluted white vinegar and wipe out entire base to remove scale.
3. Rinse with doon worm water to remove scale and the white vinegar solution before beginning to disinfect the tank.
4. Wipe the heating element clean with a soft cloth after it has had chance to cool.
Disinfect tank:
1. Fill tank with 1/2 teaspoon of chlorine bleach and 1/2 gallon (1.91) of water.
2. Let the solution stand for 20 minutes, swishing every few minutes. Wet al surfaces.
3. Empty the tank after 20 minutes, and rinse well with water until tho bleach smell is gone. Dry with a clean cloth or papar towel.
4. Refill the water tank with cool wator; replace the housing and water tank. Repeat All Operating Instructions.

SOURCE: How do I clean / sanitize my sunbeam humidifier

I'm no expert, but a friend of mine loaned me her humidifier recently and she just put some bleach and water in the tank and cleaned the tank with that. It did leave a smell of bleach in the tank that could be smelled any time it ran, but after a few refillings, it went away, and I figure if it smells there must be a little left, which means it should clean the working parts fairly well too. (while you're running it the first few times) And the medicine tray in the SWM5250 is dishwasher safe, so I would just run that through the dishwasher, but bleach should be fine for that too.

SOURCE: My sunbeam humidifier doesn't work

Do you mean Dehumidifier? A machine that takes the humidity out of the air. If this is what you mean and you hear the fan motor working with no water dripping then the problem is that the coil which holds freon gas has leaked out the gas and can be recharged again with the leak fixed of course. Depending how old the unit is you may be better off buying a new model. Repairs can be costly. Hope this helps!

Does the Sunbeam Ultrasonic Humidifier Model 696-12 have a filter?

This humidifier is AMAZING. I’m a huge fan of using essential oils (lavender, lemongrass, spruce, rose, sandalwood etc) and I picked this up from a thrift shop, added some essential oils to the water and my house smells wonderful.

Essential oil diffusers are virtually the same thing design wise except cost a fortune. This is my best diffuser! I paid $10 for it and it works so good, throws off a ton of mist which I love (it’s so dry here) and I will enjoy owning this unit for years to come. Only thing is to gently clean the little ionizer part with the brush gently and keep it clean. Also..this unit unlike newer ones does NOT shut off automatically so keep an eye on it. Running it dry might cause it to burn out.
