The ONLY place I've found the correct drivers of the "Easy Access Keys" on the Model KB-0133 Compaq/HP keyboard which was made for Windows 98SE, is over at this site. I WARN YOU STRONGLY TO WATCH WHAT YOU AGREE TO ON INSTALL! After that, it will install the HP SP22XXXX service package with the drivers. The options afterward are in the control panel under... you guessed it, "Easy Access Keys"
As in User Guide for your computer, which details out what the functions of the keys are, for the Keyboard?
If so post the Compaq desktop computer's model number. This can be found on the back of the computer, in a white Service Tag. Post the Product Number. P/N = Product Number
As in where all the keys go, because you took it apart to clean? Click on the Zoom In icon ( + ) on the Amazon link, for the keyboard photo.
If that is the case try some different keyboard.... on the PC i am sure that it will work fine.... and if it does that means the the old keyboard is bad.... kindly get is replaced
You usually find it on the lower left portion of the keyboard. Beside the Ctrl or Alt. Some brands highlights it in blue. Along with other special functions.
If it is still under warranty just call Dell and have them send a replacement keyboard. If not, either try cleaning her laptop keyboard or just pick up a new one off some place like ebay for about $10.00 with free shipping.
you have a locked key. it may be anything from a liquid spill to forced. but that noise is telling you that a key is locked. try removing the keyboard and plugging in a usb keyboard. if you dont get a noise then you need to replace your existing keyboard or unjam the key causing the problem
