Pull more thread tail through the needle eye and hold the thread tail in your left hand when you begin the first couple of stitches. It also helps to have the needle at its highest point when beginning the first stitch.

SOURCE: industrial sewing machine top thread breaking

The brother DB 2 series of machines do not use a needle with a flat side. the needle system is DBX1 and are available from size 10 to size 20.
Try using the right needle for the machine and the right size for the thread you are using. this should make it better

SOURCE: Thread breaking.

Rethread the machine following these directions:
all machines thread the same. TTN tension, take up, needle.
Beginning with the spool, guide the thread through the thread guides to the tension assembly. Pull the thread through the tension assembly and test it to make sure the tension is working correctly.
(To do this test, adjust your tension setting to normal or medium or 5 or something in the middle. Raise the presser foot and pull the thread through the tension. It should pull easily!! Lower the presser foot and pull the thread. It should pull noticeably harder.) If it passes this test, continue up through the take up lever, then down through the thread guides to the needle. Make sure your needle is fully inserted and turned the correct way.( If you load your bobbin case from the left side, the needle rule is normally FLAT to the RIGHT is RIGHT. There are some exceptions. If you have a newer style drop in bobbin or your bobbin case loads in the front then the rule is FLAT to the BACK.
Remove the bobbin case and bobbin. Pull on the bobbin thread to make sure it doesn't pull too hard. It should have some tension on it but not a lot. Insert the bobbin and bobbin case into the hook assembly and pull on the bobbin thread again. The tension should still be about the same. If it is tight, you need to look at the bottom of the pin that the bobbin case sits on and see if there are any threads looped around it. If there are , you need to remove them.
Hold the top thread , turn the hand wheel and see if the thread is catching someplace around the hook assembly. If it pulls the thread up easily, put some fabric in it and see how it works.
Make sure the thread is through the take up lever.

SOURCE: NEEDLE KEEPS COMING UNTHREADED WILL NOT CATCH IN FABRIC

Make sure you are threading the machine correctly and it has the proper tension. Also check the bobbin the thread has to go thru the little lash

SOURCE: The needle thread on my bernina minimatic keeps breaking.

There is special thread for denim/jeans. It usually comes in shades of brown. It's a little heavier and might help with the breakage. You might also want to try a little less tension. I assume you already have a Schmetz denim needle?

The upper thread keeps breaking whenever I sew even though it is always properly threaded and the needle is fine

check the age of the cotton
cotton is not a single thread but a series of fine threads bonded with a glue
old cotton glue breaks down and the thread separates easilty
next check that the needle is installed correctly with the grove ( thread groove away from the bobbin hook
check the needle and hook timing because if it is off a fraction , the hook will pierce the the thread causing it to break
next check that the eye is the correct size for the thread in use
a needle eye too small for the thread thickness will jam the thread ans not let slide through the eye properly

Why does my thread keep breaking on my brother ce4000? The machine is 100% threaded correctly new needle properly wound bobbin, I just don't know what could be wrong with it.

Could be a multitude of things. Use only good quality thread--no old or bargain bin threads. Try a different brand of thread--some machines prefer certain brands over others. The needle and thread should be compatible--ie needle eye shouldn't be too small for thread weight. Burr catching the thread and breaking it. Upper tension too tight.

Remove the upper thread, RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning. Verify the thread is not looped incorrectly in the thread path, like around a thread guide or around the spool pin. Is the thread snagging on the thread spool itself? Do you see the thread tightening as you sew and eventually it breaks? This indicates it is catching somewhere between the needle and spool. Is it shredding at the needle eye? This indicates the needle eye is not suitable for the thread being used.

Watch where the thread is breaking. This will sometimes give you a clue where the problem exists.

How do I stop my tread from popping on my Brother (17 stich) sewing machine?

Breaking thread? Presumably the top thread? AVOID old or bargain bin threads. The upper tension is too tight or the thread is not properly seated in the tension disk, the needle is defective or the needle, needle eye/scarf is not the best choice for the fabric/thread being used, there may be a snag in the bobbin area that is catching the thread. Make sure the thread is not catching on the spool's thread notch.

Thread coming out of eye of right needle on huskylock 910

Hi:

Are you sure it's coming out? Or is it breaking at the needle?

Try replacing the right needle and do a test stitch. If it still comes out of the needle... loosen that threads tension a little.

Try a new needle, making sure it is put in properly. A bent needle can break thread. Make sure top tension is set properly.
