Brother LS-2125 bunches bobbin thread then won't sew.

I have a Brother LS-2125 sewing machine. I have checked the troubleshooting in the manual and cleaned the shuttle bobbin race on it, but the bobbin thread is still bunching up under the material when sewing. I sews fine without thread. Once the thread is in it, it will only sew for a couple stitches before making some knocking sounds and bunching up. The wheel on the right sorry, for got the official name gets stiff and then won't move. Any suggestions or help?

Check your stitch sample. Dollars to donuts it's the top thread bird nesting (also called thread nesting) under the fabric. Issues appearing under the fabric is usually top thread related. Problems appearing on the top of the fabric is usually bobbin thread related.

Remove the top thread from your machine.
Be sure to start with a brand new needle.
ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread the top.

SOURCE: bobbin thread bunches up creating a tangled mess under the plate

This could either be due to the bobbin being wound too loosely, or the tension on the top thread is too loose. This just happened to me the other day, and I thought it was the bobbin thread, but then I put another bobbin in with a different color than the top thread (this is a huge help in diagnosing thread issues), and I was surprised to find that it was actually the top thread that was a big loopy mess on the underside of the fabric. I fixed it by tightening the tension on the top thread (quite a bit), and everything was fine.

SOURCE: Brother LS-2125 Upper Thread Snapping

I had the same problem and it was so frustrating! It was happening to me because I wasn't using the right size needle. Go up a couple of needle sizes and see if that helps.

SOURCE: I have a Brother LS-2125 and when I try to sew it

Hello,
Here are some solutions to try.

* Re-thread your machine
It may be threaded incorrectly.

* Raise your feed dogs If your machine has this feature.

* When you start to sew a seam, hold the upper and bobbin thread tails back and out of the way as you sew your first couple of stitches. This will keep them from getting caught in your machine.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: when i sew the bobbin thread bunches up. what to do?

remove the thread and bobbin.
take out your manual and follow the exact instructions for threading and inserting bobbin.

If this does not help check the tension on the top(the number should be about mid way).
If it is too low it will bunch up on the bottom.

Bobbin

Sounds like thread is caught in the shuttle. Check your owners manual, if you misplaced it, go to brother.com and download it or print it for free

How to stop bobin thread from knotting

When loading the bobbin there is most likely not enough tension on the thread letting it overlap incorrectly. Try wrapping thread around a tensioner when filling and that should help. That way the bobbin is rolled as tight as the tension on the upper thread when sewing.

You need to either adjust the tension or ensure that you have routed the bobbin thread properly.

I HAVE A BROTHER LS-2125 SEWING MACHINE AND THE STITCHING UNDERNEATH IS OK BUT THE UPPER THREAD IS LOOSE AND ALSO SKIPS

Sounds like either the bobbin case tension is too light or is not in the tension at all.

Consult your manual for how to place the thread in the tension and retry. Increase the bobbin case tension if necessary.

The top tension may be set too high.
