N-084M once every few days shows blinking error code 99 and doesn't produce hot water. Unplugging/plugging it back fixes problem for the next few days. Flue is clean. No recent changes in equipment/gas line etc.
MAke sure your flu is not making any 90degree turns. Use 45degree turns only. Error 99 is a combustion error. Usually referring to a blocked/obstructed flu. That said, a flu wit a lot of 90degree turns can act like restrictions to tankless heaters. If the flu i straight and clear, then you have a burner problem. Somethign you want Noritz to deal with.
Testimonial: "do you know how that logic works by any chance? There must be some sensor that tells its controller about combustion problem. The flue has been there for its lifetime of about 10 years and it is clean, I checked. The problem started only few weeks ago and happens once in several days."

The trick with these hot water heaters is to keep the filter screen clean and flush the system with CLR periodically. Code 11 is ignition error. Is your gas valve turned on?
