do you have degauss option ? it should correct it. That pink tint will be always there but during gaming the colors are enhanced , thus pink will be visible

Both boards would be fine considering the hardware you are installing with it are good for gaming, sometimes, games dont get affected much by boards, they are affected by RAM,VGA and the processing power of your processor.
Very little or minimal effect are felt by differentiating boards.
The right question here would be which board would last longer or take more abuse vs the price you have paid for it. For games, specially online ones, such as RPG,MMORPG,etc, are heavy abuser of system resources and hardware.
You might want to add in your list decent cooling systems, may it be AIR cooled or Water cooled. For better efficiency and durability of the parts, secially if you are aiming to overclocking.
Heat renders parts life span almost in half,as I experienced it.
I searched the internet and also from my experience can tell that this system is quite good. This system has all what is required by the latest gaming titles to run flawlessly.
If I would be pinpointing small issues then only would find that the
hard drive needs to be at least 1 terabyte nothing else to complain.
In my opinion its quite a 'heavy' system and will sure give you an edge in modern multiplayer gaming over the internet where performance is the key to success.
Just a reminder that you should use 64 bit version of Windows on this system as a 32 bit system will not be able to use the 4GB RAM. A 64 bit system will better use the resources and you can upgrade to a higher amount if needed.
If you install a 32 bit OS it will show the total RAM as 2.5 GB and rest will be wasted. Windows 7 64 bit will be the best choice as it supports multithread, multicore CPUs and advanced graphics with DirectX 10/11.
In short I can say that this system is very much adequate for todays software/games and possibly future proof upto two years for extreme gaming. Also you can move to a better graphics card and more RAM when required. And be sure to use a adequately rated UPS/surge protector.

You have to re-install your Operating System. You have significantly changed the controllers of the mainboard (from ASUS to GIGABYTE) and therefore all of the device drivers and controllers etc that are loaded into your OS are for the ASUS board.
You can get away with no OS reinstall only if you change the same brand of mainbaord, even then its not always 100% compatible.
