I have a Neff built in dishwasher about 3 years old. The pump runs continuously in any program setting even with the door open.
This is caused by a water leak into the base pan,it will trigger the anti flood and the machine will continously drain out even with the door open, you need to establish what is leaking,if you leave the appliance standing for a few days it will start again as the water will evaporate however if the fault returns you will definetly have aleak on the appliance which will require further investigation.
Had an issue over the weekend where pump ran continuously regardless of mode or cycle.
I first switched off the dishwasher at the mains, then I removed the metal gauze and filters covering the sump. Here I dried out the standing water using a rag until the area was bone dry. I then went a step further and removed the four star screws of the sump housing and noticed a disruption (food) near the impeller. I removed this and again removed any standing water with Kitchen towel. Then reassembled the sump housing and put back the filters etc.
Finally I moved the dishwasher out of its housing and tilted it a few times and then made sure the feet of the dishwasher were allinged so the dishwasher was sitting square.
The result was the dishwasher ran fine from start to finish completing a full cycle.
All of the above is essentially performing the appropriate steps to stop the dishwasher thinking there is water still sitting in it (anti flood switch being activated by standing water or a disruption of some kind)
Hope this helps. Always call an expert if you are not qualified / certified to perform the above.
Does anyone know if there is a quick way to drain water from the drain pan in a Neff dishwasher as I have inadvertently flooded it.
Cheers,
Shaun
