1. Have you adjusted the air pressure to at least 100 PSI?
2. Have you cleaned and lubricated the gun per manufacturer's instructions?
3. Are you driving nails into hard wood (oak, walnut, etc.)? Some guns are simply not powerful enough to handle extremely hard woods.

SOURCE: Hitachi nailer does not sink nails completely, no

You must have broken tip or out of adjustment. Easy to check. Remove nails, and push safety against scrap air hose or rubber to absorb blow and squeeze trigger. Piston will stay in the down position until your release safety (on some models you will need to pull back on feeder sligtly). While piston is down examine the end of the driver for nice squared off tip protruding about 1/4 inch beyond nose. If no tip or looks broken, replace driver. If tip looks complete, adjust for more depth. Good luck

SOURCE: need metal slide for nt50ae2, plastic nail slide is allways jamming

I don't believe there is a metal substitute for the stock part. I did not see one on the parts diagram and it is unusual for something like that to be offered as an option. BUT if the tool is jamming I suspect it is not due to the pusher. Make sure you are using the correct gauge (18 for this tool) nails first of all. Make sure you air pressure is adequate. Somewhere around 90psi would be the minimum. If too low of pressure is used it will not allow the driver to retract far enough to advance the next nail. If the tool is not leaking air anywhere then the last thing to check is to make sure the driver isn't bent. That can also lead to jams.

SOURCE: My nt50ae2 brad nailer jams in the magazine. the feeder rides on top of the nails.

This happens. The follower jumps over the nails and the magazine binds.

Step 1. Remove nails, unplug hose.
Step 2. Remove the bolt at the bottom of the magazine with a 2.5mm hex key.
Step 3. Remove the magazine while holding the nail follower in place to the magazine cover.
Step 4. Carefully remove the nail follower and gently extend the yellow warning indicator and follower spring.
Step 6. Inspect the nail follower. There should be 3 indentations that are stamped into nail follower face. This is the culprit.
Step 7. With a small punch, make these three indentations deeper.
Step 8. Assemble and test. Repeat if necessary.

Hope this helps.

My hitachi nt50ae2 will not work when I try to use 2 nails.

1) Oil it per the operating instructions.
2) Use only high-quality fasteners. I recommend Hitachi or Bostitch, although those from Harbor Freight Tools are largely trouble-free.
3) Make sure nails are properly inserted in the gun.
4) Check to confirm that your gun is receiving adequate air pressure. With that nailer, I'd suggest 95-105 psi.

I would check for the proper nail guage and collation and if that is correct I would take it back for a replacement. But check the nails first.

My nail gun will not fire a nail. Do I need to oil it or something?

Hello, W/D here.

Here's a couple of things to do or check:
1. Put a couple of drops of a light oil in the nailer with the trigger depressed, and the gun disconnected from the hose. Set it to the side for now, with the air inlet facing up.
2. Check the compressor outlet pressures. The gauge nearest the tank is the air pressure on the tank. The gauge closest to to the hose is the tool supply pressure. Between the gauges id the regulator, where you can increase or decrease the pressure to the tool.
3. Check your required air pressure for your nailer, and make sure that your regulator is supplying at least that much to operate the nailer.
4. Connect the nailer to the hose, Spray the underside of the nailer head (the slide assembly where the nails are driven) and try to drive several nails into scrap wood.
5. If the nailer operates properly, all's well. If it still fails to operate, place a few more drops into the air inlet (while holding the trigger down) and wait a few minutes, then try the gun again.
There are other things that can be done, but oiling the nailer should get you going. BTW, you should oil the nailer before each use, and when you put it away.
Best regards, --W/D--
