There is a couple of different methods to release the stem,
1. By a screw, note if a screw only 1.5 turns only
2. push button near the stem, push button in and release the stem
3. pull the stem out and a little lever will be seen by the stem, press that and the stem will come out
4. if quartz, will have a hole with a small arrow pointing to it, with a needle insert into the hole to press the lever inside.

Otherwise need more information on the type of watch movement

How do i remove a watch stem?

Sometimes you have to remove a screw, sometimes you have to press a little peg down. Without a proper description I would not start working on a watch
See the small screw to the right of the stem? that is one of the many possibilities.

CROWN-STEM WILL NOT STAY IN PLACE

possibly you will need to clean around the threaded part of the case (pipe), when screwing the crown down push against the case and rotate gently back and forth until the crown catches the thread.

How do i release the pin crown from my omega f300

There is a small screw (or maybe push-stud) almost in line with the stem entry point and slightly in from the edge of the movement, half unscrewing (or pushing) will release the stem.

I have a diesel watch model dz-2136 I need to know how to remove stem

Thank you for contacting FixYa.
I dont know why you want to remove the stem but here you go.
To remove the stem you must first loosen the set lever screw, then you can pull the stem out.
You only need to turn the set lever screw a couple turns to release the stem. Some movements use a button instead and in that case you would simply push the button down lightly with a pointed tool and while holding the button down pull the stem out.
For watches with one-piece cases where the movement comes out the dial side and the case has no removable back, you will not be able to get at the set lever screw. For this type of watch you must grasp the crown firmly and pull it out, or use plastic or soft brass tweezers to get behind the crown and pop it off. These watches have two-piece stems that have male and female ends that snap together. Then remove the bezel and let the movement come out into your hands. Then remove the hands and the dial and put the movement face down into a movement holder. Now you can remove the stem as described above

Screw down crown wont lock

There are only two things that can cause screw down crown to malfunction. First is dirt and second is weakened/damaged thread. In first case you need to use ultrasonic cleaner by immersing the crown AND case to get rid of any dirt and grime sticking on both threads. If the matter is weakened/damaged thread - you will have to fit new crown and (possibly) new case tube on which crown is screwed onto. This can be done by decent watchmaker only.

I pulled on the crown and it came off the stem

Do not open the watch yet, as you do not know how to get the stem out.
Take an eyeglass and examine the crown. You will find the small hub in the centre of the crown. If the centre of this hub is hollow and you can see the thread in it- you will be able to screw it back on stem (all watch crowns are screwed on to stems, never pressed).
If the centre of that hub looks filled with metal, then the stem end is broke and you will need replace stem AND crown (the metal filling the hub is the broken end of stem).
In case if the crown still in tact, let me know by asking questions and I'll guide you through all the process HOW TO.

How do i remove crown?

Hi, on the back of the movement there should either be a screw or a dimple in line or next to the line of the stem. If a dimple, press in with a pin or similar sturdy tool and gently withdraw the stem. If a screw, only one turn should be enough to release the stem
