When TV plugged in, it has sound, looked in the dark and saw no backlights at all. did the flash light test and saw picture there. I have opened it up and here is the driver board info LG EAX65614404 (EBT63092612) Main Board for 42LB5600-UZ.BUSDLJR If its that board, I can easily take off and replace. Still not sure if it would be that or LED Light strips as I heard if one led light goes out they all go out, not sure if that is true? Only way to find out is to take the panel apart and test the LED strips with a DC power supply

If it was the LEDs, then you should still have some working. My first thought would be the LED driver circuits.

Sounds like Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

This sounds more like a power supply problem than a problem with the backlighting, plus the lack of sound also would indicate something other than problems with the backlighting.
