To engage or disengage the drive motors: 1. Locate the manual freewheel levers at the front of the chair. See figure 5. 2. Push the levers down to engage the drive motors (drive mode). See figure 8. 3. Pull the levers upward to disengage the drive motors (freewheel mode). See figure 9.
If a lever is difficult to move in either direction, rock your power chair back and forth slightly. The lever should then move to the desired position Manual link below.

The battery of the chair is dead. It will say its charged but then when you take it off it will die.

You have to replace the battery.
I had the same exact problem with my father.

SOURCE: My Jazzy won't move.

If your batteries are truly charge they should read around 24.5 VDC. And if the freewheel lever is engaged and you still have no movement your probably need to get into a service tech. Also check the circuit breaker on the chair.

SOURCE: the gear shifter handle moves but the van stays in park

there is a cable attached to your transmission that is actuated with that lever. the cable has come disconected or has broken. open your hood and look for cable on top of your transmission to see if it is worn.broken ect. helps to have somebody move lever while u locate it if you are not sure what you are looking for.

Sounds like you need new batteries. Assuming that the chair is programmed for a faster speed and has gone faster in the past the most likely culprit is old or discharged batteries. The charger or plug may be at fault also. Also check that the charger is plugged in and the indicator lights of the charger are on.

How do I disengage motor on a 2003 Jazzy 1113 Mobility chair

The manual freewheel levers on the 1113 are at the front of the chair, on either side of the foot plate. When they are in "Drive" mode, they are in the down position, parallel with the ground. In this position you can't push the chair. To get to "Freewheel" mode, move them to the up position, about 45 degrees from the ground. In freewheel you can push the chair, but not drive it with the motors.

Sometimes it helps to rock the chair back and forth while you move the levers.

Here's the manual:

What the lights moving right to left on jazzy select 6 power chair

If you are moving as soon as you turn on the chair, the lights will move from right to left. Try waiting a few seconds and see if the lights stop moving. If they do stop, then you can move forward. Hope this helps.

I took the Jazzy outside over a hump and unlocked the yellow leavers and now it won't start again. The lights just blink and then they go off......Help

Do you mean the freewheel levers?
The chair will not drive if you have it in freewheel. Push the levers back in, and then turn the chair off and on. It should be working now.

I have a wheelchair using a DL 5.2i controller.when switched on it shows all lights blinking every 2 seconds and no power to the wheels.

Make sure that you are not in freewheel. If you can push the chair and the chairs rolls easily you are in freewheel, look for the freewheel levers and place them in the drive mode. If you are not in freewheel then you could be in sleep mode If you have a manual see if it tells you how to get out of sleep mode. If not within 10 seconds of turning the chair on try pressing the horn button twice and then turn off then back on to see if you stopped the blinking lights. I don't know with the older joysticks how else to get it out of sleep mode. If you are still having problems you can call Pride
Mobility @ 1-800-800-8586 on Monday ask for Jazzy Tech support and they should be able to help

Jazzy select contol panel all leds flash 9 times, pause and then repeat. I have checked the free wheel mode levers on both sides several times and they are definetly not in free wheel mode

Bob on each brake at the motor there is a micro switch that the controller gets connection info as to wether or not the chair is in freewheel. I have seen these switches break and therefore the controller thinks the chair is in freewheel. you could also have a bad brake solenoid that is not activating the brake when you try to move. I think the micro might be the problem because you say it flashes 9 times as soon as you turn it on. You can get just the brake assembly from Pride instead of buying the whole motor/gearbox assembly. You didn't say if you bought the chair or Medicare. If Medicare did then they will pay for most of the repair you can contact your provider or a repair service Repair Xpress @1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 Hope this helps you

Jazzy wheel chair

When a chair sits for a long period of time ( four weeks or more) without being charged, the batteries die. To help you with the freewheel mode I would have to know what model of Jazzy it is.
