I have a Seiko 2011 collector's edition QXM481BRHbe melodies motion wall clock. I do not have an instruction manual and I do not know how to fix it. Can you please help?

I have a Seiko 2011 collector's edition QXM481BRHbe melodies motion wall clock. For a couple of years, it used to play music every hour. However after I had to change the clocks because of daylight savings time, it only plays 2 or 3 times a day. And not every hour. The music does play when I hit the play button, but not every hour like it was designed to. I do not have an instruction manual and I do not know how to fix it. Can you please help?

There is a solution for this already. You can reprogram the clock to use the new DST settings.

Question edited for clarity, 'make model (what it is)'.
Question moved from Video Consoles to make model category.

I am having difficulty finding a manual, but as I understand it there is a switch for you can switch off chimes and movement at night when you go to bed.

My mother-in-law has a Melodies in Motion Clockpost Willie clock that she no longer has the instructions for. She can't figure out how to make him whistle. Can you point me to an ownder's manual?

Hello, Sherry -

I have not been able to find instructions online for the Seiko Melodies in Motion Clockpost Willie (a clown figure standing along side a clock on a post.)

The Melodies in Motion clocks are manufactured by Seiko Clocks. This is the link to the Seiko Clocks home page:
https://www.seikoclocks.com/

Near the bottom left of the home page, you will see the link to Customer Care. Click or tap on that link.

On the Customer Care page you will see the toll free phone number and the email address to use to ask if the instructions for the clock are available and how your mother can obtain them.

Best wishes.

My seiko musical wall clock doesn't play music anymore

To test your Seiko Melodies in Motion Clock:

1) Check the volume knob in the back of the Seiko clock to make sure the volume has not been adjusted all the way down.
2) Make sure the on / off switch is set to on.
3) If it is extremely dark in the room, the clock will not play, it has a light sensor. Make sure the room is well lit.
4) There are separate batteries usually that operate the clock and the music. Change the batteries paying special attention to any acid / corrosion caused by old batteries. Clean out any acid and it should play. Also, be careful not to touch the positive or negative contacts on the new batteries, as this could inhibit proper connection.

If you have done each step above and it is still not operating, your clock is defective. Contact Seiko Service Center directly at: 800-722-4452 extension 3.

If you have had the clock less than a year, and it was purchased from an authorized dealer, it is under warranty, and any repairs will be free. Otherwise, there may be a charge for the repair.
