Check your PSON voltage and see if that changes when you push the on button

I have found that the power supply is usually good, it's the other boards that tell it to shut down within a second. There are input called Vsego and VSago that tell the power supply to stay on.

SOURCE: I have a ViewSonic N3250W Television with

Does the LED kick on when you push the power button or when you apply power? Typically, the 5volts will run the microprocessor and that looks for a command (power button). When it sees a command, it will send a signal to the power supply to kick that on.. so at this point, you want to look for that signal. If you push power and no power on (p_on) signal goes to the supply, its likely your main board.. but if it does, and the supply doesn't react, then maybe its the power supply. I am not totally familiar with this tv, but thats how all of them really work. Even if the caps look good, some could be bad.. look for brands like "capXon, sanXon" are typically the defective ones, theres another but its slipping my mind.. usually 1000uf @ 16v are bad, or 2200uf @ 10v are also common.. you can search the value and the little code, usually like C9M or something and see if that batch has known issues..
let me know what you find, or how I can help

SOURCE: ViewSonic N3250W Television with FSP212-3F01.dead needs VOODOO

I am working on the same power supply right now, my has a bunch of bad caps that I already replaced but I did not try to turn it on yet becuase I see that RS1 and RS8 are missing, some one had try to fix this power supply. Can you please tell me the value of these two resistors? Please see my pictures at http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Your problem sound like the logic board problem, I can tell you what you should have if I can find out if these two resistors were left out from the factory or some had removed them. I fixed the same power supply for the N2652 but I did not take the pictures of the board, I wish I did.3a99fcd.jpg

Samsung TV DF400BGLV1H is dead. Looks like a short on LED backlight?

Based on the symptoms you described, it sounds like the problem is likely with the LED backlight strips on your Samsung TV model DF400BGLV1H. When you disconnect the LED connector, the standby voltage comes back, and the T-CON board blue LED lights go on and the boot sound. Also, the fact that the power supply board measures 225 volts on pin 1 and 2 of the D+ on the connector when disconnected and toggles off when connected to the LED, suggest a short on the LED side.
It is possible that one or more of the LED backlight strips may have failed, causing a short and preventing the TV from powering on properly. In this case, replacing the LED backlight strips would be the most likely solution to the problem.
Keep in mind that it is always a good idea to double-check all connections and components for proper function and continuity, before replacing any parts.
It's recommended to seek the help of a professional technician or contact Samsung customer service for further assistance, especially if you are not familiar with TVs. Also, make sure you get the right replacement parts and follow the instructions.

It would be more easier to buy a new TV than to try and repair the TV that is no longer working. The power supply inside of the TV has quit working.

I have a 50" Samsung LED tv, that quit working after a recent power surge. Ironically the tv was plugged into a surge protector. Any way after the surge the tv will no longer power on normally, and I have...

To find out what is going on your going to need to measure the power supply voltages and PSON voltage, start with the 5 volt supply if that is normal then test the PSON voltage it should either be 3 to 5 volt and go to about 1 volt or be close to 1 volt and go to 3 to 5 when you push the power button, if you see that change then test the other voltages. if they are all ok the power board is working ok, Be very careful around the power supply, if your not familiar with testing high DC voltage then take it in and have it repaired as the hot side voltage gets close to 400 volts on some sets.

I have a 50 inch Samsung Smart TV UN50EH5300 that went dead...so I replaced the voltage supply board and it came on sound but no picture.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Samsung UN60FH6003F Power Supply / LED Board BN44-00669A went bad in my samsung tv and when I replaced it , it blew out as soon as I tried to power up, what could possibly be my problem

Danny what ac voltage is in your country?
is it for example 240 volts 50 hz and what voltage was the power supply designed to work on like was it 120v 60 hz
it may have an option to switch between 240 volts and 120 volts ?
If this was the situation did smoke come out of power supply as the electrolytic capactors in the power supply have a voltage limit and blow up with smoke. I can't tell what other damage could have been caused to the television or power supply if this was the cause ?

Pana TH-52PWD8UK. No picture, flashing red LED on front panel

Thanks for the quick answer. I purchased the set in 2005 and it lives outside under an overhang on my patio in humid South Florida. Unfortunately, I couldnt count the red flashes before it went completely dead. Think it was 4or 5. This would correspond with a possible fuse failure on the Power supply. I bought the online service manual, I just wish I knew what to do with it!! The fuses both seem to check out ok on a continuity check. any ideas? Thanks, Charlie

42FD9954 philips plasma TV flashing LED it wont come on

The problem is in the standby power supply. the standby power supply generates the 9 volts and the 5 volts requird by the tv. If you measure the 9 volts source, with only the red light on, the correct voltage is 9 volts. However if the 9 volt measures 6.5 to 7 volts it is too low and the startup relays cannot operate. My set is a model 42FR9954/17S. In this set if capicator, 2603, is heated the voltage climbs to 9 volts and the relays work. If cold air is applied to the capicator the relays fail to operate. Replace capacitor 2503 and the problen is fixed. This capicator is: 47 Ufd, rated @ 450 volts, and is 20%.

Blinks twice pause blinks 4 times

SYMPTOMS
Dead or Shutdown symptoms.
RESOLUTION
Dead symptom reported to be caused by the following:
1. Dead.
Found Q601 & Q602 shorted, R615 open, and IC600 on the A Board were the cause of the symptom.

2. Dead.
Found D614, Zener diode, on B+ line was shorted.

3. Set shutdown and the standby LED blinks 3 then 5 times.
Found 200v line was low. Disconnected CN706 on the C Board and found 200v now
present on CN706/pin 7.
Found: IC702 (C board) shorted the 200 volt line.
HQ Comments: C541 on the A Board could become defective if the 200v line is shorted since
the polarity on the capacitor will become reversed. R553 fuse resistor could also be opened
on the A Board.

4. Error code of 4 blinks .
Dead set press power button you hear the relay and you see red led flash 3 times and stops? Has no HV or other action. Tech removed the back as no 200 volt supply, did unplug CN706 and now has 200volts. Tech did remove the IC702 and same it comes up so needs this IC.

Remove the power supply cable to Y Main board, check Vs on power supply board when you turn on tv.
1. If you have normal Vs, replace the Y Main board. If still not work, replace the Logic board.
2. If you don't have normal Vs when you try to turn on your tv, just replace the Power Supply board.
