Volume on tomtom g620 drops out when answering phone

One the main map view, touch the bottom, left of the screen (Where your current speed is indicated). You should then be presented with a volume slider at the bottom of the display to adjust the volume with.

You can change the volume of the spoken instructions by using 'Volume preferences' , with its sliding scale to set the required volume in increments of 5%. The 'Test' function is a good way to get the volume right before starting your journey.
You may also find it helpful to use 'Link volume to speed', so that the spoken instructions get louder as road noise increases and are at their quietest when you are stationary.

Tom Tom volume was once loud at max volume. Now, even saying increase volume, the volume remains very low. Even though the voice says maximum volume, the volume is unreadable at road noise.

This must be a software problem . You need to reset your device to fix the problem . .

Tomtom has a tiny hard to see reset button near the docking base . Press that for 15 sec .

Try it for resetting .

NOTE : Hard reset could delete the saved data on your GPS device .

What model do you have? Does it work sometimes and not others for turn by turn directions? If you have a XL 350 TM there was a problem with the version updates. hi have you set up "paired" the two units?

screen should just pop up asking if you want to answer or ignore you can also just press the answer key on your phone.

to "pair" them you will need to go into the setup menu of each and put to "search" for a BT signal remember you will need the GPS's code from your manual. to enter into your phone

Users will continually need to quickly change the volume on a TOMTOM units, depending on the loudness of traffic noise, the radio or conversations. Although there are no external volume controls, the volume on the ONE can be easily accessed on screen by touching the bottom left corner of the map display. Once the volume controller appears you just slide your finger to increase or decrease volume. We found the audio levels a little softer on this unit and had to set the volume to around 60% or 70% in order to clearly hear it.

Try to adjust the volume on the phone while a conversation is going on, this may help in some cases...

Some versions of TomTom software have the option to automatically adjust the volume depending on vehicle speed, which is detected by GPS . Perhaps this may have something to do with your problem ! Try the settings menu to locate this option.
