That sounds like a power saving setting. Check your settings. (look for the gear looking icon, should be in there)

go into settings and to a factory reset. Since its new there is probably nothing you need to save. Take it all the way back. Then check your keyboard settings see if they are set on something, besides qwerty.

I'm afraid you are right. There are too many cheap chines tablets on the market. And when you really don't know what brand or what model, you even can't put in new software. I would send it back or put a complaint on e-bay for that part.

Assuming both tablets are set up to access the same email account, go into the setting for that email account on both tablets and make sure they are both set to leave messages on the server. What can happen when accessing the same email account from multiple devices is that the first tablet that checks for new mail (usually done periodically) picks up the message and removes it from the server, then when the next tablet comes along, the message is no longer there so that device does not display it.

for bluetooth keyboard, usually long push power button (or setting button) to set the keyboard to pairing mode. then go to setting in your tablet, bluetooth then search new device, follow the instruction in the tablet for pairing until finish. done
