I have a Lexmark X6170 ALL-IN-ONE Printer. While trying to print. I receive a message telling me to reinstall the printer cartridges. After doing so. I power the printer back up and I get Cartridge Error "error 50C" message on the printer display. Does anyone have some information on how I can correct the error message? Thanks! John

The 0502 error code indicates either a faulty cartridge is detected or the encoder strip (transparent strip) is dislodged from its position. Refer to this article in the Lexmark website on Error 0502 on the Lexmark X6150/X6170 Printer LCD Displayto determine and resolve the problem. Thanks.
The error is telling you that the color or black cartridge is missing. It's not recognizing one of your cartridges, most probably the new black cartridge. Here's a link to the Lexmark website to guide you on what to do with that problem. http://bit.ly/bkCWPF
