To configure your router, open your web browser. Type the default IP address (http://10.0.0.2) into the Location field of your browser and press the Enter key. A Login screen will appear. Use the below to log into your router.
The default user name is admin
The default password is zoomadsl
You click on the icon labeled Wireless at the top of the screen.
Set the Wireless status drop down menu to Enable
The SSID will be set to zoom by default. You probably want to change that since everybody will know this type of network.
You can Hide the SSID if you would like by choosing True on the Hide SSID option. This will make it harder for people to know how to connect to your network. Just remember that you will not be able to see this as well.
Under the Encryption you will need to pick your Encryption type. If you pick WEP-64 bit then you will want to click the Passphrase box and place your passphrase and have it generate a random key. If the Default Key is set to 1 then you would use the Key1 key. Make sure you click on the Save Changes so that it keeps these setting.s
Hope that helps!
SOURCE: I was asked to reboot
Find an old keyboard or mouse(if the keyboard works) that has a serial plug (or even a USB plug) on it and plug it into the serial port on the back (or side), of your laptop (like the old ports you plug your mouse and keyboard in on a desktop?) Probably green colored with several holes in it and round. Anyway, plug in the desktop keyboard to your laptop and reboot. It should read it and work for you until you can figure out the problem. If you are still having problems and need help you can mail me at [email protected] (no charge), and I'll try to help you figure it out if you like.
You might be able (if the keyboard works), to use the "Tab" and "Arrows" to navigate to where you enter you password.
Good luck
If this helps you resolve your problem, please
