Well since ur second computer goes online with wireless connection, so it seems the problem with your first computer. The only thing that you have to do is to update your wireless card drivers. Detailed answer: 1. Restart your computer in safe mode with networking mode. 2. Uninstall the wireless card. 3. Restart the computer and install the card again. 1st go to MY COMPUTER, RH CLICK-PROPERTIES,HARDWARE TAB, DEVICE MANAGER,NETWORK DEVICES. CLICK ON THE + TO OPEN THE INSTALLED
NETWORK CARDS. YOU SHOULD MOST LIKELY HAVE 2 LISTINGS 1- YOUR ETHERNET PORT
2-YOUR WIFI CARD. THERE SHOULD NOT BE AN EXCLAMATION POINT OR A QUESTION MARK, EITHER INDICATING A PROBLEM. IF YOU DO HAVE EITHER LOOK AT THE DRIVERS 1ST AND THE ACTUAL HARDWARE 2ND. IF BY CHANCE YOU DONT SEE YOUR WIFI CARD
THEN TRY REMOVING IT AND REINSTALLING IT. TURN ON YOU COMPUTER AND SEE IF
XP RECONIZES IT "NEW HARDWARE FOUND". YOU HAVE TO SUPPLY A DRIVER FOR IT AS
WELL. GOOD LUCK
