The guitar was made at the Saein Plant, Korea in February, 2005.

Depending on the exact model number and condition, it would sell for approx US$600-900. They are quite well regarded.

SOURCE: Guitar strings on a mandolin.

By now you may have solved this problem, but maybe this information is still helpful:

What you are essentially recreating is a tenor guitar. Many companies make tenor guitar strings. I would suggest D'Addario J66 80/20 Bronze Tenor Guitar Strings (10-32). I've done this a few times and it is quite fun and makes for an interesting travel guitar.

Have a blast!

SOURCE: string buzzing

Dont give up on the neck. One tec you saw may not know what another that has had many years in the repair of gtrs knows !. But for the time being you can fix this your self. Find a alan wrench that came with your Gtr.thats your ntail pice. This is the bridge that each string cross,s over. Now slowly rase up the height of the string untill its high enough to stop the buzzing. Just half turns at a time. . All so if you keep the humitdy up near your gtr. it may correct its self, no **** just like magic. keep on playing DFD

SOURCE: how to get a fat and clear sound from schecter

Ninety percent of what you want depends on the amp and speaker you are using.

You likely will want a 15 inch speaker in a bass cabinet to start with and a decent midrange driver as well.

No amount of EQ will fix an audio system that just can't put out the bass tones.

SOURCE: I have Ibanez gsr200 bass guitar , yesterday and

No question what to do... take it in under warranty since it is new !!!

You may find that there is a problem with your amp... the seller should be able to test the guitar and demonstrate normal sound for you.

Many users have TOO small of an amp and the distortions make it appear that the guitar is bad... I suspect you will want at least a 12 inch speaker and preferably a 15 inch for your bass.

When low frequency signals drive a speaker too hard it drives the voicecoil out of the linear range and the sound will be irregular..

Where can I find the serial number on a Japanese made bass guitar it is a fender jazz bass 4 string and how much did this bass guitar cost brand new or how much are these bass guitars cost new today?

Jon has told you about the serial number.

Don't get Fender Fenders confused with Squier Fenders either.

Once you know the serial number you should be able to find out the year here

http://www.guitardaterproject.org/fender.aspx

Then you could try Googling:

"reverb.com Fender Jazz Bass (year)"

and you will see a range of used prices.

I plugged in ibanez sdgr 5 string bass into a peavey 300 monitor and now the guitar wont work.. can somebody tell me what happened and how to fix it?

I'm pretty sure that model has active - battery powered - pickups, and yours is flat, so no output at all. The battery would be under the smaller cover plate on the back

If a bass serial number on a Ibanez prestige starts w a "c" is that worse than an a or b stock??Korean made

Ibanez serial number can tell you two things, year of manufacture and factory [or country] of manufacture. with most typical Ibanez serial numbers the first 2 digits will indicate year, or the first digit will indicate the last digit of the year, but there are also some that indicate no year at all. There is no master list to correlate to a model number,This particular style serial number will either be on the neck plate or right into the back of the headstock. It consists of a letter, A - L, followed by a 6 digit number. The letter stands for the month, A for January etc., the first 2 digits will be the year, 76 is 1976, 96 is 1996, the last 4 digits will be the consecutive production number for that months production, 1356 would be the 1356th guitar produced that month. This form of serial numbering is still used today on guitars where the number is impressed into the back of the headstock. A761356 - The 1356th guitar produced in January '76, hope that helps

I recently broke the E string on my Ibanez 5 string bass and replaced it with a 100 guage one. The sound level is now very low, lower than both adjacent strings. I have tried lowering the bridge, but this ...

Replace it with the same size as the original and the original type. The 100 sounds right for the E. Make sure it is the SAME type string as there are non magnetic for some guitars and if you have magnetic pickups the bronze types won't work. There are also round wound, flat wound and some are flattened on one side. You need to make sure the replacement is exact type. Take sample of old to show store clerk.

Ibanez artist guitar circa 1983. buzz in string. bowed neck. not sure how to adjust rod. bow is like a hump rather than valley.

The rod is probably broken - this causes the buzz and the bend in the neck. Replace the neck.

High action even though neck is straight. I have also messed with the bridge saddles and not much has changed except it gives fret buzz when i lower the saddles just a little bit. Is high action a common...

Sounds like you need to get it intonated. Take it to your local guitar shop tell them your problem and where you'd like your strings to sit or that straight neck of yours won't be like that for long.
Good Luck, Cody J
