Once downloaded, this is how you can add your contacts and friends:

Click on "Contacts" in the top of the "Messenger" window pane.

Click on "Add a Contact".

You will then see two options. Either you can add somebody from their Messenger ID or email address or you can choose a contact from your address book.

For each contact you add, click on "Next" to take you through the process. An invitation will then be sent to each one you have added. Their names will appear on your Messenger List with a message "Add Request Pending". This message will disappear when the invitation is accepted.

TO IM SOMEONE:

You right click on the contact that you want to IM and then click on " Instant Message". Another box will open up for you to type your message in. When you have finished typing your message, hit the "Send" button on the right of the box you are typing in.

If the person is showing as "online", he will get the message straight away. If the person if "offline", he will receive the message as soon as he signs into Yahoo Messenger.

To use email chat, you need to sign yourself in on your email page. Next to your username, you will see a status which may be set to "Offline" at the moment. Click on it and change your status to "Available".

I myself is a big time user of yahoo messenger and a regular chatter of 2 chat rooms and using yahoo from past 7 years.

This is true that he/she can change your account information and even can hack it !! its quite a regular thing these days because of loop holes in yahoo account security.

DON'T EVER USE YOUR MAIN ID (THE ID IN WHICH YOU ADD FRIENDS )

Booters (who can disconnect you from messenger wither by hanging your yahoo messenger or by making you forcefully signout from messenger) and hackers are there on yahoo.

I got solution/s for this problem:-

1-use ysupra chat client.Its freely downloadable..you can search on google to download it freely,it provides a lot of security to out accounts while we use our id in chat rooms.This is the best chat client till date.

2-Make ids with numbers,like my id is eric_the_hunk27...i have made other ids with numbers like eric_the_hunk22..21...25..26. AND DONT ADD ANYONE ON THESE IDS.MAKE THESE IDS JUST FOR CHAT ROOMS.This helps a lot ,first people in chat room will recognise you.On ysupra..almost 99% of the booters can't boot you,its very safe.

2-while using ysupra,you can simultaneously sign -in in your yahoo messenger too,use yahoo messenger to sin\gn in with your main id (the id in which you add friends and want to be safe and secure from any kind of attack),don't use your main ID in chat room ever.

3- incase you want to add soneone in chat room to your main id,then you just have to send add request from your main id to that person..that's easy..just type the id of that person to whom you want to add in "type id here" in your yahoo messenger and then press enter,then add the person.

IN THIS WAY,YOU WILL BE VERY VERY SECURE...

ALMOST 99% OF THE HACKERS ON YAHOO HACK THE ACCOUNTS WHEN THE PERSON TO WHOME THEY WANT TO HACK IS IN CHAT ROOM.ITSD BECAUSE THEY CAN TRACE YOUR IP ADDRESS IN CHAT ROOM.

SO,IF YOU DON'T TAKE YOUR MAIN ID IN CHAT ROOM..THEY WONT BE ABLE TO HACK YOUR ID...

AND IF THEY HACK THE CHAT ROOM ID THAN ITS NOT AN ISSUE BECAUSE YOU WONT BE HAVING FRIENDS IN THOSE IDS..AND YOU WOULD BE USING THOSE IDS JUST FOR CHAT ROOMS...

YOU CAN MAKE AT MAX 6 IDS FROM YAHOO MESSENGER IN 24 HOURS TIME...I GUESS THIS IS MORE THAN SUFFICIENT...LOL

Here is your resolution.

Well its very simple if some one has deleted your id from his/her yahoo messenger of mail when ever you ping that particular person the ping menu will be the same as you sending instant message to that person means the add option from where you send add request to any person will be visible again, but if the person had not deleted than that add option wont be visible to you.

As to understand clearly i had add some screenshots please go through and you will understand how you can get to know if your id is deleted by some one or not.

Naiven.

Go to Messenger, then to Preferences. Then, click on "Ignore list" and click on the id you want to add again and then click on Remove. Then, click on OK.
After that, add that person again to your messenger list.

Dear Friend You Need Following

• Messenger
• Audio card(It must be on your System if your System New)
• Mic
• Head set
• Inter Net Connection

1. Install Messenger
2. Sign in Messenger
3. Configure Audio (it will automatically configure)
4. Add ID you want to call(ID is basically mail address of a person you want to contact;it is said to be Mail address)
5. Click on ID
6. Click on CALL button
7. It will answer the person you want to call(He/She Should be on-line at the time of Making Call)
8. You are Connected

Check this things..

• CHECK YOUR SOUND CARD
• Check your MIC

CONFIGURING.....Do following...

• Open Messenger(there you will see at top Messenger,Contacts,Actions etc.)
• Click on ACTIONS
• Click on CALL SETUP
• Click on NEXT (You will see a tab for Configuring Sound Set-up)
• Try to Speak (you can see YOUR SIGNAL of SPEAKING)
• You are Sucssesfully Configured MIC
• Click Next (you will hear SOUND)
• Click Finish

I assume that you have downloaded Yahoo messenger and you have login account.
In order to chat to an individual you need to know the persons yahoo id. If you know it then go to CONTACTS/ADD A CONTACT.
By doing so, an invitation will be sent to the person and once the person is online and agrees to let you add him, then you can chat with him.

On the other hand, you can chat in 'Room'. This can be done by clicking MESSENGER/YAHOO! CHAT/JOIN A ROOM. You just need to select a desired room.

It look to me as a Email address for a person using Yahoo Messenger. It is not a valid email address in its own right. I could be wrong, but as I just set up a Yahoo account and myself, and all my friends have a similar setup but the email addresses are used for messenger alone.

except the person sends u an online message or you re-add the person.
