SOURCE: pc date keeps resetting to 01/01/2001

I can only presume thsi is an older handhels.
There is a small CMOS battery that has run out.
It may be a Dell only fix.
On a PC it is on the M/board.
Small flat battery like in a watch.
Take it out and get a new one from local watch shop or Jewellers or PC shop.

SOURCE: Sharp Electronic Organizer Model ZQ-5200 how do I reset the date

I just ran across my manual. My organizer died, but here goes. You have to set the home date and time as the city's date and time for your time zone. Press Shift-Home. Select 1 to choose the City. Cities are listed according to their country. Press U for United States. Press the up or down arrow to scroll. When you see your City or one in the same time zone, input that number. If DST in effect, press shift-number for the city. To set time, select 2,or Shift-Home-2. Set the time. Press enter. Good Luck.

SOURCE: my solar clock needs setting. I set it back an

1) Pull the batteries and replace them, or gently insert a straightened paper clip into the "reset" hole in the back of the clock. The clock will beep.

2) Press the "receive" button" so the clock sets itself. The default time zone will be "EA".

3) Press the "adjust" button untill the time zone is showing (rather than the day-of-the-week).

4) Press and HOLD the "set" button down untill the hours digits start to flash2.gif.

5) Now press the "set" button again six times. The time zone characters will flash.

6) Press the "adjust" button untill your time zone appears.

7) Press the "mode" button to return the clock to normal operation.

8) Press the "adjust" button to display the day-of-week.

SOURCE: I have a 1F81-51 White-Rodgers thermostat that

I had the exact same problem. Even pressing the Hold button does not really help, because once it resets - the Hold temperature also changes to the default.

I fixed this by replacing the 470 micro-Farad / 10v capacitor in the unit (it's the grey-colored capacitor). To access the back of the circuit board, you will need to break 2 plastic rivets holding the front of the unit to the base.

After replacing the capacitor I've not had any resets for the past 3 days (it used to reset itself every couple of hours).

Hope this helps.

There doesn't seem to be a separate clock battery, how does canon sx50 hs power the clock?

From the main batteries. If there truly is no separate battery then a capacitor holds enough power so the clock keeps running while you change the main batts.

My deck keeps on resetting every time I turn on my car

its not wired correctly, the yellow wire is the all time 12 volts wire,it must always have 12 volts to hold the memory like the clock etc.take the yellow wire and hook it up straight to the battery and then see if it holds the settings,if that fixes it you can leave it on the battery ,it wont hurt anything, most likely somebody wired it with the red and yellow tied together, not right,it wont hurt the radio but it wont keep the settings, good luck, give me 4 thumbs up if it fixes your problem, thanks

Sony vaio vgn-fs775p laptop real time clock not keeping time

Hi

thank you for your query

If the time is not keeping up then it would seem that you will need to change your CMOS battery, this is a small battery found on the motherboard responsible for clocking etc

The battery is cheap to purchase, however I do highly recommned the laptop be booked into a reputable PC shop for replacement as you will need to take the whole laptop apart to get the motherboard

I hope this has been helpful
