You may ask, how can I install applications, games on my android phone that didn't come from the android market?
Well, you're not the only one who's having problems with them.
Having trouble installing android apps or java applications on your android cellular phone(s) or device is not new.
Whether it's from your computer or memory card this should be a breeze. And so far this should apply to different Android phones, no matter what the brand is.
To set your expectations, these steps were based from my HTC Wildfire, and should be the same logic to be followed if you have other model or manufacturer as long as they're using android operating systems.
Great! Now let's get started
Android engineers made their OS extra secure by not allowing apps to be installed if they didn't come directly from the android market. In other words if you haven't downloaded them from the android market that app(application) will be blocked and you'll receive an error message.
Here's how you can do it:
- Access the main menu
- Go to settings
- Select Applications
- Then check the option that says Unknown Sources(once checked this should allow you to install apps whether it has a file extension of .sdk or .jar).
- Access the location of the file that you want to install.
Enjoy!
Still having issues? Make sure that the application installer is complete and/ or not corrupted. Check online if the app that you're trying to install is actually compatible or made for your device
