I need a manual for a Singer model 15, serial #AK965881. Where could I locate one?

Singer has many of the manuals for their machines here: https://www.singer.com/support . However, your numbers don't match the Singer serial numbers that I know. Most serial numbers either have no letters or one - two letters at the beginning of the number. There was a period when Singer used both a Registration and a Factory number to in the serial numbers. However, that ended before 1900 with the 12K batch.

Many Singer sewing machine models can be found from the serial number lists here: http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/serial-numbers/singer-sewing-machine-serial-number-database.html . AE249154 is a model 15 assigned the serial number in September 10, 1936. G1019270 is a model 27 assigned the serial number January 16, 1911. It can take over a year or two for the machine to move through the factory and reach the dealer after being assigned a serial number.

The Singer G 9247734 is a model 66 sewing machine that received the serial number in 1922. For the Singer sewing machine, AF 591876 is the serial number, not the model number. See:

It looks like that serial number is for sewing machine model 221.

Does your sewing machine look like the sewing machine on the first page of this instruction manual (PDF document)?

If it says it is a Singer 66, then the model is 66. The other number is probably the serial number. Finding a manual for an older Singer may be difficult. Just search:

Most Singer manuals are available from http://www.singerco.com/support/instruction-manuals . However, you need more than the year of manufacture to determine the correct manual. If you have the serial numbers, go to http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/serial-numbers/singer-sewing-machine-serial-number-database.html to look up the model number. The 1904 machine serial number probably started with B. Singer had ~15 sewing machine models assigned serial numbers in January that year.

The Singer 15-91 is a cabinet straight (lock) stitch sewing machine; usually it was for home user's. Multiple feet were available for it. Since Singer started making machines in 1871, it isn't that old. The model was sold in the 1940s and 1950s. The manual for the Singer 15-91 is available from the Singer site, http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals . Enter the model number and click Search.
