Samsung LED Un55hu8700fxza lost the picture image, but still has sound and the backlight with blue screen. What should I troubleshoot?
My 3yr old Samsung LED Un55hu8700fxza lost the picture image, but still has sound and the backlight with blue screen . I've changed the T-Con board but nothing changed. Can you help with isolating the problem; I can't imagine this is a new problem with Samsung after find this issue all over the web.
What else can I do on my own?

Check the backlight circuit, but first, check the power supply of the blacklight circuit, does it feed the backlight circuit or not. If not, it's the power supply circuit, if yes, check the backlight circuit itself, and if it works, check the backlight themselves, the led. Good luck,

You only have 3 modules in the back of that unit, the wifi and the sound master board and the video board. Samsung knows they have a issue with some, there is a diagnostic mode that will help you to determine, I would contact tech support before I bought a 350.00 module just to confirm, however I think your on the right track
Try the old flashlight test, turn off the lights in the room. Turn on the set and flash a bright flashlight on the screen. Do you see the image or is the screen totally black?? If you see the image, then most likely you have a backlight problem. Verify that you have 24V on the power supply for the inverter
