SOURCE: Problem programming Zenith Digital TV Converter DTT901 remote.

Be sure that your TV is set to channel 3 or 4 if you are using the RF cable or Video 1, etc if using the Audio/Video cable.  The Installation  Guide should appear.  The "improved" picture that you are seeing is simply the analog throughput, not the digital conversion.

SOURCE: No picture on new Dynex 42" lcd hdtv

Do you have cable or DVD player connected yet? If not, connect your cable to the back of the LCD via Coaxial cable. Next turn channel to 3 or 4 whatever channel you use for cable. Then use auto programming to find all of your cable channels. If no cable connect the DVD outputs to one of the AV 1 or Av2 inputs on the back of your LCD. Power on the DVD player and change your input to which ever AV you connected it to. You should see a blue screen and your DVD Player Icon.

SOURCE: My Sharp TV will only hear sound. No picture or images even from the tv menu setup option. Model# LC-19SB25U. About 1.5 yrs old. Converter box ok.

In most cases, you can reset the TV by leaving it unplugged for 30mins.
If this doesn't work, I believe the circuit board that supplies power to the screen maybe bad. They call this board a backlight inverter board. It would most likely cost more to repair than replace the TV .

I just did a factory reset this morning and I had the same problem until I realised that you have to use the "Output" button to get the Video Outputs to DVI Digital (see page 17 of the manual), if that's what your connection is, then I could select "menu" and do a channel search. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: no picture & not able to access OSD to reset

Sounds like your OSD is locked. Press and hold the "OK" button for 10 seconds or so and it should unlock.

I have a Sylvania Model No. SST4273 TV manufactured in 2003. For a couple years now I've noticed that I can't see the sides of many broadcasts - text extends to the left and right beyond my screen.

If there's a setting that will show the whole picture, it's in the Menu under Picture:

1)Press the MENU button so that the menu display appears on the TV screen.
2)Press the VOL(ume) button so that "PICTURE" is selected.
3)Select the feature you wish to adjust with the CH(annel) or button and adjust it with the VOL(ume) or button.

How do I upgrade my Emactic AT103B converter box from usb?

As far as I can tell, there is no firmware update available for the Ematic AT103B. If you do have a firmware file for this converter box, plug in the USB drive when the converter box is on. Then press Menu and go to the System Setup (the icon has a gear and is labeled Settings) menu option with the Left/Right arrows. Press the Down arrow and continue down to the Software Update line. Press OK. Select the correct file. (If this file isn't shown, try inserting the USB drive after reaching this line.) Press the right arrow to start the upgrade process. Do not let the unit power down during the upgrade.

See page 14 (page 15 of the PDF) and the preceding page to see how to navigate the System Setup menu. The manual is available here: https://ematic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/220756147-AT103B . The direct link to the manual is currently: https://ematic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/208176947/AT103B_manual.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Connecting an Antena to a JVC 20220 how do i set up the tv to find channels?

Unless you are lucky enough to be close to one of the remaining low-power analog stations, you will need additional hardware to watch over-the-air programming with the AV-20220. You will need a digital to analog converter box. Connect the antenna to the converter box and then connect either the antenna output or the composite output to the appropriate input on the TV. If you use the RF input, set the TV to channel 3 or 4 and set the converter box to the same one.

Then to set the TV up to scan for any NTSC (analog) stations, you need to access the menu. There is a menu button on the remote. (I'm not sure about the AV-20220. Some of the later models (AV-27350) have a menu button on the TV as well.) Press Menu several times until you see Initial Setup (Setup). Use the up and down arrows (Volume) to navigate to Auto-Tuner Setup. Then use left and right arrows to choose Air. Use the up/down arrows to navigate to Start. Then press either the left or right button to start the scan for channels. Wait for the scan to end.

I hope this helps.

TV only works on HD stations

Your TV has an SD/ED component input and an HD component input. You are using the HD input. It can only accept HD signals. You need to correct the settings in you cable box. You need to "fix" the video output so that it converts everything to HD. If you have a motorola box, you can usually turn the box off and press the menu button to access the cable box setup menu. Set the 4:3 override to Stretch or Full. If you need more help with this, post back with more information: cable provider, cable box used. I hope this was of some assistance.

Trouble programming Universal Remote to a DTV Converter Box...

Not a complete solution, but, around the last page (pg. 14) of your converter box manual there are codes listed for universal remotes. I happen to have a Philips remote that is listed. My code to control my dtv box is 0354. It appears that they have all codes listed for all Radioshack model universal remotes. I would suggest getting a Radioshack remote for Your "Digital Stream" (Radioshack) dtv box...

Tv stuck on zoom

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Please check your cable box settings first. Sometimes the remotes have a picture size button on them, and the in-laws could have pressed that by accident. Check the TV settings, press Menu Button & then go to WINDOW/IMAGE SIZE. Now select normal size.

Also check the settings of the converter box (if you are using it). The boxes also have a peculiar problem: Unless users manually change settings from show to show, the picture from many stations either won’t fill the screen, or it will be so big that part of the picture is cut off by the edges of the screen. The solution is to press the “zoom” button on the remote that comes with the converter box. That will expand the picture so it fills the screen. If still the issue persists, then you’ll need to go to the service menu. To go to the service menu please start with the TV off and press mute > 1 > 8 > 2 > power the remote on. Now the TV will come on with the menu displayed and from there you can change the settings as required.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee
