Sony ericsson w850i problem white screen not open

Hi if your phones screen is white then this is a sign that the ribbon that takes data from the circuit board has become damaged. what happens is that when the phone has been opened and closed load of times the little copper wires that run inside the ribbon become brittle and break, the only option you have of solving this problem is to get the ribbon replaced.
its not expensive to buy and wont cost much to fit.

their is no easy fix as it is a case of getting new parts fitted to your phone.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

My TEAC DR-H300 HDMI is reading discs intermitently, i.e. sometimes it does, most times it doesn't. Once I insert the disc and close the tray it stays with the message LOAD and nothing else happens. Could...

The usual cause of this is the optical disk itself. Either the media has defects that your player doesn't like, or the codec needed to 'read' the disk is missing or unknown. Try playing a standard DVD from the music store. If that plays ok, you may need to upgrade your firmware. New firmware should be available from the maker's web site.

Will not read DVD (old or new)

Run a "Laser Lens cleaner" thru it several times, preferrably one which uses fluid. You can purchase them just about anywhere for under $20. Beyond that, it would have to be serviced, and they will replace the transport. Usually $150-$200 Hope this helps

Our GE Advantium oven is Flashing F-3

Hello,
F3 is the error code for control panel failure. A replacement costs~$200. In reading the literature, some people have had temporary success by depowering the unit, removing the ribbon cable to the control board, and cleaning the connections with a pencil eraser. This has bought some people several months of time, some none.... Once ordered, the part usually arrives in several days, and swapping it out isn't hard, once you get to the card.
Hope this helps, --W/D-- please feel free to rate this solution.

SONY camcorder DCR-HC42 color stripes

Try with the side display closed. Does the viewfinder show the pix OK? If so, then the problem is isolated to the LCD display. There is a small ribbon cable between the camera body and the LCD that sometimes gets a small crack in it. Replacing the cable usually fixes the problem.

"loading" at startup

First, let's see if the player tries to read the disc. Load a disc and listen. Does the player make squealing noises or is it totally quiet? Squealing noises may indicate that the player is trying to synchronize with the disc but can't due to an obstruction on the lens or in the laser path inside the pickup or a defect in the pickup. This can also be caused by an intermittent signal problem due to a faulty ribbon cable. Totally silent means that the photo sensor is not getting any usable input from the laser at all, meaning that the pickup is "blind" for lack of a better word. This can be caused by an obstruction of the beam by foreign matter on the lens or inside the pickup all the way to a marginal or failed laser diode and/or photosensor array. This can also be caused by a bad ribbon cable with one or more severed traces. You could try to clean the optics. This is the most common malfunction as far as i know in all disc players. It would involve taking the cover off and finding a way to expose the lense, and then cleaning it with a very gentle brush. some players have a cover for the lense that swings to the side during playing, this greatly reduces the chance of dust accumulating, but its still worth the try. If you actually see dust on the lense, then its just that simple. clean, close, play. Good luck
