No crescent tool included with purchase to remove the blade

You have been screwed big-time. If you buy the juicers anywhere but online, they will not let you know they don't include the crecent tool needed to remove the blade to clean. What a f**king ripoff.

Make sure the Juicer is unpluged. What you need is the cresent tool or two metal objects to place in the two holes opposite each other and press down the metal objects in the holes while turning counter clockwise. It kind of acts like a lock and key system.

I have a jack lalane juicer that has the screw-peg broken and the only solution is to buy the whole motor as this part is molded to it, so I'm going to ditch it as it's not worth it. I can post the orange 'crescent tool/key' to you if you still need one. Cheers, Barbara

Have lost the crescent tool, recipe books for my juicer. IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET IT APART TO CLEAN IT UNTIL I CAN RECEIVE MY REPLACEMENT PARTS.

Just find a big wire bend it and insert both ends on the blade holes. Use leather gloves or cover the sharp blade with a piece of cloth.

I need the crescent tool and would like to ask barbi1 if she still has one i would like to purchase it from her

Use the orange tool to remove the blade. If you don't have the tool, just find a big wire around 1/8 diameter thick. Bend it and insert both ends on the blade holes. Cover the sharp blade with cloth or use leather gloves. Turn and remove the blade. The orange filters removes easy.

You need the crescent tool to remove the blade. You insert tool into the blade and push down while turning. Try the official Jack Lelane Juicer website where you can order for about $20.00

I seem to be able to put the crescent too in but the blade just spins and doesn't seem to be connecting to anything to pull it out. Talk about frustration!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How to dissassemble Jack Lalanne Power Juicer?

After about a half hour I finally figured it out. I'll go through all the steps.

1. Remove pusher from chute.
2. Pull the locking bar down over the spout.
3. Remove lid.
4. This part is tricky. Stick the orange crescent tool into the blade holes and while holding the filter basket steady with one hand, turn the blade couterclockwise while pulling up.You do have put a little muscle into it. And remember, if you don't hold the filter steady, the whole damn thing just spins.
5. Remove the receptacle.

Good juicer, but it seems unnecessarily complicated.
