No PC stated, just HP and win7.
wow.
that means we cant guess when PC was made, can we.
but the F11 key is the fix.
all 2006 and newer PC, from HP have F11 key.
see?
the magic recovery key.
you press power and hammer F11 , read your sevice guide yet?
its all there free to read at any time.
the the recovery screen pops, and you pick
repair startup fails. or restore
if either tell you the HDD is dead, it is.

there are 2 causes for w7 to fail to boot
1: hdd bad. (or sick, some are good bad or damaged (hard damage)
2: the OS is corrupted,

easy no just 2 causes, (I can list more, but I fixed every class failure of computers, for decades., 3rd cause is a bad PSU, low voltages
or NOISE from it. or bad memory, (all mobo issues,)
but in simple form , just 2 above.

its a serial process diagnosis. F11 is JUST step 1.
if PC was slammed the original OS is now gone and the original recovery features are erased the cure is totally different,. now.

RTM yet>
i cant direct you to your manual , you never told what PC you own.
oops.
http://www.pcdied.com/slammed.html

here is the offical site. we are not hp here, but here they are.

oops x2 , hp is down now.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/

read your service tag, on that tag is a full model name.
like DV6-1234us.
type in your model and find your page.
then read the service manual
look for F10 or F11 via search, and IT'S ALL THERE< in print.

I know Ricoh hasn't been supporting these for some time now. Do you have a set of drivers for this device?

SOURCE: The laptop doesn't boot up always.

I would try the following:
1. Remove the battery completely. If the computer boots properly several times in a row, then the battery may be causing the power supply to do strange things.
2. If you have experience removing laptop components, try removing the hard drive. Because you say the screen goes black (I assume the system powers off) sometimes after the HP logo, I doubt its Windows or a software issue.
3. If HP has a diagnostic CD you can boot to, try that.
4. It may be the power supply acting up. If it charges the battery, and if you can boot to Windows with the battery, try getting a new power supply.
5. Otherwise, it may be the motherboard of the laptop.

SOURCE: unmountable boot volume

hi,

-this can be a hardware problem or a software problem
-run diagnostics first on the computer
-turn off computer; while the computer is off, press and hold the "Fn" key then press power at the same time to initialize the test
-if you find error message like 0142 - this is a hard drive failure; contact your manufacturer for replacing your hard drive
-if no error is found, it is a corrupted Windows; you need to reinstall Windows, ensure you consult local technician to back-up files before installation.

cheers!

My Acer aspire turns on shows windows logo then goes to black screen, what can I do?

Depending on your version of windows, I would trying starting in safe mode to see if the computer does boot. If it does, then you want to restart again, go to advanced boot options and select "start windows with last known good configuration." Access advanced boot options following the steps at this link. Acer laptop display goes off after some second

Try booting into safe mode. Chances are that you have set the screen resolution and refresh rate to some value that the LCD cannot handle. That is why it works until Windows takes over. Once you are in Safe Mode you can get things under control.

My dell laptop keeps going back and forth from the loading logo screen to black screen

You might like to Power it off completely by removing the Battery for a few seconds.
If that doesn't help, try booting from your Win7 Installation Disk.

My Labtop boot only the windows logo and stop there, what is the solution

Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. In Startup tab, uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when only you initiate.

Why won't my compaq presario 1250 load windows?

1 - You may need to roll back system with System Restore. Under Safe Mode (press F8 during boot and choose safe mode).
Win 7 - Start > Search type System Restore
XP - Is Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Restore. Now choose a date prior to problem. You may have to try a few dates.
