SOURCE: E5 error - need to know where drain hoses are

tried to take off the drain hose, but could not get it off the back, only by the disposal. I turned if off and on about 6 times and ran the delime cycle with lots of limeaway. It got the E5 error on the delime cycle, but it worked the next time I tried to run it.
The manual does say to turn it off and on as it drains out the water. Takes a while as it has to heat up the water each time.

E5 everytime we run the wash

Try running the drain hose into a bucket next to the machine. If it drains Ok, look for the restriction in your plumbing. If it won't drain into the bucket, look for a closed drain valve, open fill valve, bad middle or top probe, check power at drain connector ( it's DC volts from the bridge rectifier in the top drawer on the relay board.. Basically, water is at top probe at beginning of rinse, or it didn't drain down after the wash. Drain hoses can kink from hot water if not routed well.

LXGH E5 Code

I need to check my codes to be positive. And I'll check them this weekend. But, I believe E5 is from excess water in the unit, and so it won't go into rinse and add more water.

First and most common -- the drain hose, at the back of the unit is kinked. The unit gets pushed back against the wall and kinks the line.

Second, your probes are dirty. The ones in the back right corner detect water level. Clean them with a green scrungee even if they look clean.

Good luck - Mike

Horbart dishwaser wont dran

Its a hobart correct? The data plate is on the bottom right front or on the door when opened on the left.If you dont see it then its been removed.Regardless does the display show a wash then rinse cycle? If so and it doesnt drain you either have a clogged drain hose or the drain valve is bad or stuck. If you use this just to wash glasses your model is probably a lxigc. If glasses are broken in the dishwasher which they probably are the glass has gotten into the drain body and is obstructing the valve from opening and closing.I work for hobart and services dishwashers alot.let me know.
